Based on that map you haven't done the area dungeon?
I don't know I did the Volcano Manor Questline to completion and fought the big monster down below. There was always a locked door in the Manor though

You can blast through it in new game plus, especially if you had a thorough playthrough the first time. After less than 2 hours I'm at the academy.
It's crazy how well the devs designed the game and how most of it can be skipped - if you know your ways. During my first playthrough, I explored the shit ouf of the game and new the map inside out, basically.
On NG+, I got to Altus Plateu to get a second Giant Crusher inside of two hours. Got both sides of the medallion, you can skip Stormveil castle and the Academy, riding directly to the lift.
I'm just not entirely sure how satisfying the game is going the direct path with no struggle. But maybe I was just slightly over leveled from my first run and the game will catch up with itself as I progress. I think in a perfect world I'd need to do some more optional content again to become strong enough to re do the main questline. At the moment no one can challenge me!
I'm thinking a game from fresh might be more exciting than a second run where I dominate everything and ignore a lot of the locations.
Just made it to the Mountaintops of the Giants. They definitely saved the most beautiful area for the end. Looks incredible. Ready to dig in and explore
Official trailer with Israel Adesanya. Weird.
You read it in his voice, didn't you?Funny thing is I just completed that and got to the snowfields. All the map is now open. Feels good man.
Sadly yes haha. You read it in his voice, didn't you?
I just used the homing magic spears. Forgot the name of them. Those black knife assassins in Lirtugical Ordina, ugh.
Think my best bet will be to equip the talisman that makes my footsteps silent and try sneaking to activate the statues.
I’ll need to invest more points in health. I’ve done a full astrologer build putting all my points in intelligence, mind, and endurance. Hit the soft cap of 80 on intelligence.I just used the homing magic spears. Forgot the name of them.
Sounds fake, but with "Mountaintops of the Giants" who knows...
Yup. Also, quit changing your avatar!Sounds fake, but with "Mountaintops of the Giants" who knows...

People who do that are the worst.
I really had hoped that we'd see more stuff focused around Bloody Finger Hunter Yura type samurai. The Ronin armour set describes the "Land of Reeds" and I thought that was a hint as to where the DLC might take place.
According to The NPD Group, Elden Ring was not only the best-selling game of June 2022 and the first half of this year, but it has also become one of the top 10 best-selling premium games in terms of dollar sales in U.S. history.
Same - funny thing is it’s helped me get into Souls games.Well deserved. Easily my GOTY. Would definitely land somewhere on my top 10 of all time list. Ironic thing it’s coming from someone who never could get into the Souls games.
Now if only we could get official support for an uncapped frame rate and some DLSS for some actual UNBELIEVABLE performance.
And you don't have to chase the casual audience by offering difficulty settings. Players can actually be challenged! It warms my heart to see quality sell. This is proof that you can get rich making really great games.
