Really? I thought it was pretty simple and straightforward, especially coming off Maliketh and Malenia. Just slap on your holy resistant and nonphysical damage resistance talismans and pop a holyproof item and it's cake. What kind of build are you running?

Design-wise the problem is two-fold... the camera... it needs to get pulled back during fights like this and second... running to attack him again, feels like they intended it to be a horse-back battle and for whatever reason changed their minds but kept the boss going way far away from you all the time.

At Atlus, leaving Dragon Burrow region and other places kicking my ass for now.

Still getting ass kicked btw but was able to kill the guy by the windmill village, a troll in another mine in Atlas Plateau and a black knife assassin guarding what turned out to be a Sainted Tomb. Just want to say fuck this tomb and whoever designed it, its a very good death trap for tomb raiders like me.

Still getting infinite loading times.

Still doing a str/mag knight, but I've heard magic, greatswords and faith have all received buffs since? What about dragon communion, or is that still awesome in concept, terrible in execution?

Yeah. I've been looking in the underground regions, but no dice. Think there might be a side tunnel full of giant ants I haven't gone through. Is that it?

Also I can ask giant guy to go to the tournament, but that feels a point of no return and he has high quality smithing stones I need for all my greatswords.

Any recs on greatswords or other weapons? Been using the first greatsword a lot of people probably get since the start and its gotten me through a lot of battles though the ice ash of wars help a ton.

I like that one, if you want a magic attack on top of it try the Ruins Greatsword, there's also the game of thrones sword forget the name that's pretty good, I eventually switched from the Greatsword to the Giant Crusher hammer and eventually dual-wielded two of them.
 
Well, I killed him on my second try today.

168 hours, 175 level. One hell of a game.

From Soft really needs to work a bit more on their conclusions. Getting a 30 second cinematic at the end is a bit anticlimactic, really.

I also think the last 20% of the game dragged a bit too much and the difficulty spikes were bad. Other than these complaints though, game of a genaration.

Until the DLC ... finger but hole.

Using the FOV mod helps with larger, although it's all of the time and some might not like that. I do, though. Shame they make you play offline to use it.

Having said that, it doesn't help with EB jumping a mile away. A tedious boss that isn't about skill or fun, just running back and forth across a large arena hoping that it doesn't do its nonsense attacks that keep you from doing anything, because they drag the fight out even longer.

I didn't like the EB as a boss in general. It looks ridiculous, not intimidating at all, and the fight itself wasn't fun. Pretty lame final boss in my opinion.

I stopped playing for a bit but plan to jump back in this weekend. Level 65 magic based.

I tried fighting Starscourge Radahn and got my ass handed to me. Couldn’t even get close to him. Killed me in one hit lol. I’m way under powered to take him on.

Level 65 is actually higher level than when you should first fight him he just hits like a truck no matter what. You should summon all those little summon signs on the ground in the arena

Uninstalled to make room for Ass Creed Origins at 60fps.

About 150 hours all told. I COULD NOT beat the final boss after about 40 tries. I wasn't going to change my character to win after I was able to beat Milania. Top 10 game for me for sure. Loved every minute playing it.....except that bloated fucking Super Mario Dorrie final boss, fuck that asshole!!
 
I like the buff to colossal swords and great swords. Time to see if the Zwai is anywhere near the pancake maker it was in Dark Souls 1. Also is there any equivalent to the Baldur Sidesword?

Seeing how there's no mention at all regarding the raytracing patch, it was the right decision to no wait for it lol. Not sure it will even come, ever.

I saw someone on Reddit talking about his desire to have an Elden Ring Golf DLC. And I 100% approve. Imagine taking the existing beautiful levels, with slight adjustments, and playing golf there.

That's pretty extreme having a guide book split into two. They better be big ass volumes to justify that. Even Witcher 3 with DLC was just one book.

Getting towards the end now 110 hours in. Milenia just went down (in coop). Getting to that secret snowfield area was hard as I had the two items you needed but missed the selection arrows on the lift menu 🙈. The Tree area is brilliant.. but does make me feel that the defined locations in this game are alot better than the open field type stuff IMO.

Volcanoe Manner I've done the full quest line but there was always one locked door inside. Also just north of it there looks to be a brand new area but its really low down and so far impossible to get to.

The connecting island is the first area in the game before the tutorial cave. You need to do some 'sploring to get to the fort in the north. Took me a while to find the path.

It's been a while since I played but I think it's accessable by travelling through a gorge to the south of volcano manor close to where you encounter one of those boat ghost enemies. Someone else should confirm though, as I say, I haven't played since I maxed out the achievements.

Trust me, you are not the only one. I had to look at a guide for this as well, as I couldn't figure out how to get to that area, even though I explored everywhere surrounding it on the map. They should have made that more obvious. I had everything I needed as well. Just didn't notice that you can choose the destination.

There are several, but one was to create a title that can only be achieved by accumulating them, based on the technology and know-how cultivated in the "DARK SOULS" series. When I start making a game, I think about "what is the special experience of this game". For example, in "SEKIRO", it was "the excitement of a new swashbuckler who adopted playing", but in "ELDEN RING", it was "a feeling of scale beyond the stack".

It was the title because you continued the "DARK SOULS" series.

At least in our sense of scale, it would have been impossible to make an "ELDEN RING" from scratch. The other is "degree of freedom" and "adventure" that presuppose such a sense of scale. I think this was a major factor in adopting the open field.

I really enjoyed the freedom of role-playing. I spent a lot of time sleeping and played every day, so the loss after the ending was amazing. Everyone around me, including myself, says that there are so many places to adventure that even when you haven't started "ELDEN RING", you're so addicted that you think "how do you play today?" If you're looking at shaded Castle you get there from way to the South when you first get into the altus plateau

No I've been there. It's close to shaded Castle, just to the left of it on the map. It's way, way down on the map and I can't get there without dying from fall damage. There also looks to be a floor of lava close as well.
 
Right so everyone was wrong 😆. You have to go to Hogwartz and down to the bottom on the giant wheel. Let yourself be killed by the machine that gobbles you up. If that is the killing move it transports you to the new area.

As you can see using the teleport from the Acadamy I've just started to unlock Grace sites on the right hand side. I'm hoping it will let me journey all the way across to the Fort.

Everything within the yellow line appears to be inaccessible from circling around the area, unless I've missed something obvious.

As you can see using the teleport from the Acadamy I've just started to unlock Grace sites on the right hand side. I'm hoping it will let me journey all the way across to the Fort.
