NVM got it. I was hitting it too late. Thought the timing was super tight in this game.

So the only thing I'm not liking is my retarded old brain is getting so confused looking for hidden shit and secret areas, and I don't wanna use a guide, so I play for like an hour and I'm mentally exhausted, especially with no map.
It's cool they have alot of stuff to find though, so it's a subjective complaint more than objective
Only metric that matters:Healthy trajectory for the game so far, another new Steam concurrent players peak over the weekend at 145k. 8th most played game on Steam, which is very good.
Ok this optional ice area is not yet for me, takes forever to beat the enemies. It's also huge wow, and I found an interesting "trainer" that gave me

Speaking of optional areas, I get the feeling that a LOT of the portals on the map are optional. Or does the main story take you to the majority of these areas?
There's a merchant in that zone that sells you the same outfit for Sciel and a very cool outfit for Verso that I use. It actually reminds me of an outfit in FF16 which is weird since it the same voice actor.
Tracking the Steam concurrent players, looking at the sales split with the other platforms, I think they'll be able to announce 2m sold (including physical shipped) inside of the next 5 days.
Expedition 33 has passed 2 Million Copies sold in only 12 days! With Elder Scrolls Oblivion Remaster shadow dropping 2 days before launch! Damn thats extremely impressive for any game, let alone a brand new Western very heavily JRPG influenced franchise!
Finally got back to this since the arc raiders technical test ended.
Just had a several hour session. Sciel is really good and cannot believe how big the world map is.
At the start of act 3, I felt the characters were all strong and there was a good balance but I started exploring the world that opened up, getting way stronger in the process and now I can say that in my group Maelle is way stronger than the rest. Maelle is like Ultra Instinct Goku, Lune is Krilin and the rest are humans. I mean maybe the others can catch up with the right build but I haven't really fooled around with the others as much as Maelle.
Maelle is definitely strong as hell. But the others can be very effective as well. Lune can do insane damage with all her elements and damage enemy groups over multiple rounds for example. Sciel can build up very strong multiple hit attacks. Monoco has a cool ability that pierces through shields and does more damage the more shields there are, I just had an enemy with six shields and Monoco wrecked him.
Oh and beating Sprong, that large optional enemy in the water, gives you the strongest Picto I've seen so far. Took me a long time to beat him but.... Yeah, it makes the rest of the game a lot easier.
I'm around level 62 right now in Act III and Verso is by far the strongest in my group. I'm using a basic attack build and the weapon that lets him take another turn if he lands a basic attack. Basically can land some 9 point power moves and fill up a gradient bar each time he plays. Maelle definitely does insane damage, too, but taking two turns in a row is huge.
If you like two turns in a row
.... Go and fight Sprong!
Just looked it up. Whoa... I need that now!
Tough fight though, I needed to really change my team and abilities for him, such a motherfucker.

Just in case anyone is thick like me "Check in with the others at camp" isn't just talking to other people if you haven't already done so. It's actually unlocks dedicated cutscnes. Just found out now randomly!
