The Monolith is actually pretty pants, just reused levels/enemies, loads of combat and rock hard boss battle at the end. Hope it picks back up again.

Reviews by mentally ill degenerates should be invalidated and not count toward any aggregate score. "Short"? You can tell that these fucking losers don't even play the game properly. I just Platinum'd it and it was 90 hours. If you don't do a shitload of the side content you're missing out on a good chunk of story/lore.

Calling this game short is also crazy. There's so much awesome content, I clocked in around 40h so far and am about to finish Act II.

If this is a short game, what are games that have 30 or 20 h of content?

Exactly. Before I played, some IGN nerd said 20 hours and I was like damn that sucks. I'm nearing 15 hours I think and I'm only at the stage of getting sciel. Like ....what did you do, Speedrun the main story and skip all the cutscenes?

These people did only the main quests, didn't explore the world, didn't do side quests, missed a big chunk of the content. They didn't play the game to experience and enjoy it, just rushed though it like retards.

You platinum'd it already? Nicely done!

Finished act 2. Kind of gone off it at the moment. I'll give it an hour or so into act 3 see if it reignites my interest. At the moment feels a bit like "well that was a waste of my time".

So Act 3 is basically just beat the final boss so don't go to the mission objective unless that's what you wanna do. I recommend exploring the 20 or so new areas that open up to you first cause there's a ton of game to be played there and you find out a lot more about the characters, etc... makes the last boss and ending better imho, you feel more invested.

Yeah that's what I enjoy doing going around the map exploring.

I loved the ending and the twist with the tower. If the game had ended with everyone dying apart from Verso and Mielle it would of been one of the best endings ever (and knowing a larger threat was coming that the Paintress was trying to protect them from. However the painters stufff seems convulted and not really told in a clear way (as of yet). Cant help feeling nothing matters if the world isnt even real. Hoping my party can be reformed.

Finished Act II.

Huh now that was something.

Btw. that Sirene song, so good. But not that well mixed and recorded. My headphones expose some annoying flaws. It could've been a magical song but some parts are rough, quality wise, the recording equipment was overwhelmed. Shame.

I keep hearing this....I'm scared to keep going now. Not looking forward to some M Night Shyamalan twist like your whole party except one dies or something stupid like that.

Btw, anyone rock roulette? Seems like a waste to me, but some say it's good

Roulette is fantastic until you start hitting 9999 without it, then it only hurts you, but as soon as you finish act 2, it becomes great again.

It's simple math really. Let's says in two turns you deal 100 damage per turn, that's 100 damage average. With roulette, in two turns (if you follow the odds) one will hit for 50, the other for 200, that's 125 average damage per turn, that's a straight up 25% increase in damage in the long run.

Which is what I read from others. But....when it comes to a do or die moment and you get fucked by rng when it could've been a consistent prediction that you would win with the next attack....that's my issue

By same logic more chances you hit less than you would have otherwise and lose a fight. +25% damage still stands :)

How so? And I don't mean precise numbers, obviously a little rng is gonna be involved. But if I have a choice between hitting semi consistent numbers to be able to plan the fight out, that seems more logical to me. In any case ....the game is built around being able to parry everything and that's what the real focus is on.

Also just picked up sciel....I'm sorry, but her system is just too damn convoluted compared to others and I already love my team. So she's getting a hard bench.

By average your doing 125% damage as opposed to by average 100%. I get it though if you rather that 100% consistency.

It's easier than Luna honestly. But her good stuff is deep in the tree.

Lune is actually the easiest to use. Just get her 100% cit rate with equiped pictos + luck stat, then just use elemental trick (which will generate the stains needed for genesis via crits) followed by elemental genesis and use the weapon that applies burn on critical hits (Choralim) and the double burn and burn affinity luminas. Not only will elemental genesis wreck everything on the screen but anything that survives will have like 50 burn on it.

Unless I'm missing something in regard to flying enemies, I'm not the biggest fan of having to primarily rely on free aim attacks to take them down. It gets a little boring targeting a floater then emptying my mag into them and wasting all my AP. Seems to be the only consistent way to deal damage. I took on the Chromatic Reaper last night and if it wasn't for counterattacks, that would've been an annoying fight.

3 Ubi devs probably spent the entire development time in HR screaming about stupid shit so the game actually turned out good.

The director of the game was bored at Ubi and left to do his own thing. Kinda crazy how his talent was wasted there.

But that's not a dig against Ubisoft. It's the case with most large ass studios.

See this is the gripe I mentioned earlier. Fast travel in the game sucks. I went back to spring meadows to get something and now I can't fking find the damn exit back out.

Alright....having played some sciel solo in the hidden gestral arena...I'm loving her solo....I just still can't justify dumping anyone on my team for her unless it's a super boss fight or something then maybe.

So what's your guys lune setup looking like....I just got kralim. I'm reading it's good. Been using trebuchim but I'm about to unlock Genesis next. Still looking for the optimal use of skills on her. The basic bro approach I'm reading is max crit, elemental trick, then Genesis.

Yep, as I mentioned a few posts up, that's the way to go. And use the Choralim weapon (Lune's best weapon afaic) once you get it.

We love Ubi.
At one time they brought in Prince of Persia Trilogy, Assassins Creed/Ezio Trilogy, Anno and the Division. Farcry, Splinter Cell, Rayman though I'm not a platformer person. That would be a insane lineup for any gaming company.

Heck even more recently, I have had a lot of fun with Assassins Creed Blackflag/Origins, Anno 1404/1800 and Division 1/2. I've even seen a turnaround in reception for Assassins Creed Unity which has incredible graphics even today.

Ubisoft were very good once upon a time though their reputation is not what it once was I'm still keeping an eye on Anno 117 and Division 3. And hoping Prince of Persia Sands of Time Remake being revamped results in an amazing Remake that does it justice like Diablo II Resurrected and Resident Evil 4 Remake did for their orginal versions.
