Really want to get this book. It goes into new details surrounding the Skinwalker Ranch along with other interesting information.

I realized I should have made this thread to cover high strangeness since it goes hand in hand with UAPs many times.

I was reading something interesting on Prey (2017) and Dead Space touches on this too.

What if the reason we can't find any other intelligent life out there is because something exterminates or consumes it.

In Prey, it's theorized the Typhon wait for life to become fairly intelligent and self aware and then it consumes it, since they feed on consciousness.

In Dead Space, the Necromorph Brethren Moons send Markers all over the galaxy, let life evolve and then consume/assimilate it.

A lesser example is Mass Effect but there's life all over that galaxy but the Reapers exterminate and then consume/upload the best lifeforms ever, like, 50,000 years. Though they do that to "protect" people more than to devour life.

What if something similar is happening. Maybe there's something like the Typhon or Necromorph out there waiting for us to hit a certain part on the evolutionary scale and then will come to exterminate or devour all of us? Maybe they want our "souls" like the Typhon from Prey?

If you ever listen to John Lear, he's discussed that actually.

This probably falls within the boundaries of the Dark Forest Hypothesis.

Isn't Lear's thing that the moon harvests souls as people die? One thing is said is that "lost souls" for those who drown at sea exists as a term because their souls can't be recovered.

He's a little bit too glowie for me, beyond that.
 
so what's the deal with UFOs? there seems to be a lot of good UFO videos out nowadays. and I'm not even talking about the DOD/Pentagon tic tac/UFO videos.

personally, I subscribe to the interdimensional hypothesis

Yeah idk. Nazis apparently had a UFO too. I think it's odd how they became a big thing after WW2, but not really before.

CG Jung kinda let the cat out of the bag when he suggested that the same mass-psychosis that resulted in widespread reports of angels and spirits (people don't realize how popular spiritualism was in the mid/late 1800s...) is at the heart of the UFO sighting phenomenon, even down to the same reports of "abduction" where in the past it was chalked up as "night spirits / incubus". As spiritualism and religion were pushed out of "Rational" secular society, the same phenomenon manifested as "rational" alien visitors, go figure.

Fortune teller or participant, maybe a bit of both. He is largely responsible for modern clinical psychology, dream interpretation, New Age, and 'active imagination'. His grandfather was a Mason and CG Jung frequented seances and occult ceremonies for 'study'. Lot of the UFO and rocketry dudes (like Jack Parsons) were into occult stuff including conducting ceremonies, like the Nazis.

I can't help but see a strong connection between the simultaneous rise of psychology (reconditioning the human mind), UFO (external phenomenon), and secret Cold War flying tech (easy to develop anything you want when people think it's aliens).

I expect at some point in history some gov't will use a falsified Alien Visitation to deceive its population, we already have the technology

For what it's worth, I'm a big fan of the Skinwalker Ranch. However, I have not really watched the television series but I read the original book and I own the documentary with George Knapp.

Well it's arguable if the Skinwalker Ranch should be bunched in with UFOs or if it's an entirely different phenomenon, that's up for debate.

However, UFOs might not exactly be a physical phenomenon to begin with.

Edit: while I do mention that I am a "fan" of the Skinwalker Ranch, I would never step foot on that place or even near it. I think whatever is happening there is definitely not benevolent and most people do report bringing "something" home after visiting the ranch.

If you're going there you're just inviting something you should not be having in your own home.

The DIA may not be entirely incorrect when they fear it is demonic in origin.

I didn't even know we had this thread.

RE: Skinwalker ranch and things like it, etc., and bringing something home... I've always been firmly in the camp that you assert your personal pressure and dominance over your domain. In other words, I don't fear anything creepy going down in my house because anything unwelcome had better hope I never figure out a way to hurt it. I'm not bullshitting, either. If it kills me, it seriously better hope there's no way for me to get it after this body is dead. That's how I choose to exist. My wife gets scared if she has a bad dream or thinks she saw something. I sleep peacefully at night, have no nightmares, have plenty of dreams of stomping the shit out of bad stuff, and feel anticipation building if I hear something unexpected in the middle of the night. lol

And I'm not stupid. I go to sleep prepared in case of an intruder. I lock all my doors, check that the dog is outside of our house, and all that good stuff. I'm just not afraid. This is where I dwell. It is my place. In other words, The Lord has given it to me, and I am king of this domain. Don't like the vibe I put out here, then GTFO. :)

I actually gave up on listening to Coast to Coast several years ago. The show has just dramatically declined in quality IMO. I had a Coast to Coast Insider account until recently which allowed me to listen to old episodes, but I honestly ended up ditching the show pretty much entirely for Mysterious Universe.

If you haven't given it a listen, I highly recommend checking out the podcast Mysterious Universe. It is so, so good. It goes off the rails fairly frequently. Talking about bigfoot, they've covered everything from bigfoot sexual encounters to bigfoot and glowing orbs connection to more recently, an episode that covered a conspiracy theory involving bigfoot (Almasty to be exact) and cheese.

I'll still listen to Coast to Coast here and there, especially when I'm out camping or fishing for old time's sake, but Mysterious Universe is fucking fantastic and the back catalog is insanely large.

Even though the hosts are Australian, politically they tend to be right leaning which I also find refreshing given how rare it is especially when it comes to entertainment. They're also a fun bunch and pretty fucking hilarious, some episodes I'm legit laughing half the episode.

I 100% agree with you about Coast to Coast AM. As a matter of fact I usually only listen when George Knapp is on. He is absolutely great and way above everyone else hosting that show. In fact, he's hosting tonight so I'm going to be listening.

But damn that show has went downhill. And I can't stand Ian Punnit or Connie Willis.

I kind of liked Ian (listening back in the 00s) but his topics aren't C2C material. But he is better than Noory at least.
 
I watched a special on youtube about...idk maybe two years ago give or take. A group of interviewers traveled out to speak with victims who've claimed to have been abducted or experienced alien abduction and/or other alien phenomena i.e. UFO, unknown technology, etc.

It was one of those things where you knew these people were giving you their genuine recollection of what were highly traumatic events that took place in their lives. The story that brought some level of fright to my mind was this one grandmother's story of driving her grandson over a rural bridge that lead into a tunnel, and the blinding light that she witnessed from this UFO before driving into the tunnel. I think that's how the story went. But anyway, it stuck with me that if I ever see a blinding light in the evening time or at night in the sky I'm ducking the hell out of the area and never fucking returning to the scene if I can avoid it

Knapp is great. Give Mysterious Universe a chance some time. Just play an episode that seems interesting to you (their content and vary quite a bit)
