I'm such a graphics whore. Carpet physics are something that strongly influences my purchasing decision. It's so bad but I can't fight it.

No reason to play the original anymore outside of the multiplayer. Especially if you have a VRR 120 Hz display. I think new Tess looks more realisticSo looks like for single player this is by far the best version to play?
What is your verdict on the new Tess model, that had a bit of controversy here and other places.
Yup just the campaign and the expansion. So no MP, just the SP?

Only played it on PS3 but the university level is my favorite. Great attention to detail and lighting, and the way it ends.I still think this game is a visual masterpiece. Every moment in the game is memorable location-wise. And you feel like you've taken a cross country trip through 3 seasons by the time it ends. It's just magical in how poignant the locations are. My biggest reason for not picking this up aside from the $70 tag is because while this game excels in story and location, the second game's mechanics are so far beyond the first that I think it'll be hard to go back. Unfortunately, the second game's locations were not as memorable and the story was meh.

I ended up grabbing this. It was sold out at every store in the area so I went digital. It is really impressive how much detail they managed to pack into .... pretty much everywhere.
@TaySan does the game have a photomode? It's important for my future purchasing decision![]()

The Last of Us Part 1 players use photo mode to uncover tonnes of details and changes
There's new info aplenty in the model viewer, toowww.gamesradar.com
It does!![]()
Bought this before I left to go help my parents at their house.
Start download. Leave.
*At parents house, get text message: My internet is out for a few hours.
Get home. Microwave and Stove is flashing. Go up stairs, PS5 is off. Fire it up, *rebuild database.
Finally up and running, and it only downloaded 3GB.
Fine, you win today. Maybe tomorrow I can finally start.
The future has brought us so much convenience! I'd sure hate to be able to put a disc into a system and be playing the game right after it loaded the main menu. Those days were the WORSTBought this before I left to go help my parents at their house.

Noticed that with the first generator. The haptic feedback in the game such as when it rains is a nice subtle touch. Im pretty far in the game now and the game continues to impress visually.
Didn't stop ND from reusing the original intro which also references the Multiplayer devs, lol.So no MP, just the SP?
It's not without it's issues still. Clothing looks like burlap, a few janky transition animation, and anything that deals with a vehicle just feels wonky.
To me, it plays the same. I'm not very far either.Your new avatar, damnit. Urgh. The passion.
How's the gameplay, does it play differently compared to the original in any way? I read about changes in the AI, but don't have a feeling how much different it actually is.
I hope it has a photo mode so you buy it and can see if you hate the game as much as I was hating it.This will come to PC in the near future.... making me wonder if they'll also release TLOU 2 on PC at some point.
