What is your verdict on the new Tess model, that had a bit of controversy here and other places.

No reason to play the original anymore outside of the multiplayer. Especially if you have a VRR 120 Hz display. I think new Tess looks more realistic

I still think this game is a visual masterpiece. Every moment in the game is memorable location-wise. And you feel like you've taken a cross country trip through 3 seasons by the time it ends. It's just magical in how poignant the locations are. My biggest reason for not picking this up aside from the $70 tag is because while this game excels in story and location, the second game's mechanics are so far beyond the first that I think it'll be hard to go back. Unfortunately, the second game's locations were not as memorable and the story was meh.

I ended up grabbing this. It was sold out at every store in the area so I went digital. It is really impressive how much detail they managed to pack into .... pretty much everywhere.

Man, the lighting in this game is top notch. Definitely an improvement. Textures look much better. I'm only an hour in, but it's a looker. Hopefully it keeps the quality all the way through. Tess's face tweeks don't bother me.

The haptic feedback in the game such as when it rains is a nice subtle touch. Im pretty far in the game now and the game continues to impress visually.
It's not without it's issues still. Clothing looks like burlap, a few janky transition animation, and anything that deals with a vehicle just feels wonky.
"You're watch is broken" still hits hard. I forgot how much I love this game. Hopefully ND gives us a Part 1 prequel. They got 20 years to play with. Give us 5 year increments to show the collapse of society, and flesh out Bill, Tess, and Tommy.
Didn't stop ND from reusing the original intro which also references the Multiplayer devs, lol.

Saved Ellie from the Fireflies performing surgery on her.
Just about wrapped up with the game. This game looks and runs fantastic on PS5. Only played the PS3 version and not the remaster so felt like a fresh experience. The obly complaint i have about the renake was the friendly ai can still act derpy at times like the original game ruining the immersion at times. It's a minor complaint so no biggie.
Never played the expansion at all so thats going to be fresh for me. Going to start tomorrow.
This will come to PC in the near future.... making me wonder if they'll also release TLOU 2 on PC at some point.
I hope it has a photo mode so you buy it and can see if you hate the game as much as I was hating it.
