Damn son I think I need this game.

I know I'm just showing locations of the areas that personally really impressed me.

There is obviously a few areas that look less than stellar too, what I think is to be expected due to the sheer size of the game.

But I think overall it is a great looking game in my personal opinion.

And it's great exploring and finding missions and that, it did feel very slow for about an hour or two as it feels really overwhelming intially, but then you kinda get a grasp of the game and mechanics and start to know your way round, it doesn't have a map and doesn't hold your hand showing you where everything is, there is literally sign posts etc that direct you, so I can understand how this would frustrate some people, but I loved it as soon as I had freedom and could do what I desire, I didn't spend any time with the building/mining mechanics, because it isn't really something that interests me personally, but I can imagine someone else might love that aspect of the game.

But I loved it overall and got very immersed :)

Edit: I also think the faction quests outshine the main story (but this is my personal opinion) others way may feel otherwise :)

Resident Evil 4

The lighting might be primitive at times, but sometimes it works out well and the character detail is very good.

Elite Dangerous.

I know it is a much maligned game, but I love the exploration. Some of the views can be stunning.

(Apologies for the quality. Having issues taking clear screenshots in Elite. Issues with antialiasing too etc)

I really wish I could (or had time to) get back to Elite: Dangerous, but last time I tried, a couple of years ago, a few years after I stopped, the sheer number of controls made me give up again.

I have a Warthog which I bought for this game and loved playing it with it, but just configuring all the controls again, learning the new controls for all the new features added since I last played, really puts me off.

That, and of course the unbearable grind. Still, best combat and flight model by far to anything that has come out to this date. And the audio is incredible.

Haha! I know the feeling! I recently got back into it, mainly to explore Odyssey. I've really neglected it with DCS taking up most of my flight sim time.

Thankfully, the Xbox controller came in handy and has made it easier to slip back into it :) . Over the weekend, I might attempt to configure all the controls on the Warthog too, but it feels like too much hard work at the moment!

Still very rusty, particularly in combat, but I have the landing down pat again. I've been taking it easy, avoiding combat missions for the moment. More concentrated on courier and mining to get me back up to speed.
