I can't buy the old granny of WWE as a serious threat. Miyu Yamashita should have kicked Nattie's ass.

I'm gonna watch that TJPW vs DDT vs GCW show just to see Maki Itoh and Yoshihiko. I wanna see the Mark HItchock Memorial show too but I don't know what the card is

Wrestlemania has been shit so far so every other show this weekend has to pick up the slack. NXT not surprisingly outshined Mania last night.

The last three matches have been bangers tonight. Much better than last night.

Congrats Dirty Dom!

I get they couldn't let Cena lose his final Wrestlemania but that was a shit ending. They couldn't have at least gotten Sami to run in there and try to stop Travis or something. No Rock is also surprising. Overall weak Wrestlemania outside of the first three matches

Haven't watched but glad Cena won , Rhodes just wasn't cutting it and surprised he held the title for this long TBH

WWE had such a failure of a face of the company that they had to resort to putting the belt on the last failure of a face of the company

lmao-crying-laughing.gif

From what I hear only the women's title match was worth a damn, as well as the lulz of seeing Dom become IC champ.

Rest of the show sounds like it was trash.

The best matches were the triple threat matches. The rest was disappointing and could have been on a Raw episode

I'd call it the best WM in awhile despite all the bloat and being around 8 hours long in total.

I called both swerves with Paul screwing both Punk/Roman and aligning with Seth. John Cena is going to get an NWO-like run for his last few months and it should be great entertainment.

Almost all of the matches were good/entertaining or were well carried by the commentators

The few gripes I have.....you shouldn't have some whackass rapper coming out during the main event of WM it was a total embarrassment to do that for the main event

The worst match of the entire show was a tie between Jay Uso/Gunther and Logan Paul/AJ.

I hope AJ and Gunther were paid well to put giant blemishes on their legacy.

Biggest Highlight of the night: Liv Morgan's ass and then later telling my friend the joe dirt looking mexican who just won a few minutes ago is her boyfriend. My friend got straight mad at that

Yeah Liv doesn't actually HAVE a real boyfriend. I wouldn't mind remedying that...at least for just one night. She's the hottest thing on the main roster. Her beautiful ass would get some competition in NXT from Stephanie Vaquer's ass though and there is quite a few other hotties over there like Kelani Jordon.

Mania sucked. WWE sucks. AEW sucks even more. Wrestling is in a fucking terrible state right now.

To me WM is about the spectacle. It's about 60K people in a stadium with a giant set. It's about a massive wrestling weekend with hours or WWE NXT and Indy wrestling.
This mania showed 2 things. The ending matters most and the Rock is the biggest star in wrestling.
Both nights had good action. No horrible matches. The booking was on point with all the right people winning. But then you contrast the 2 main events and you see why the ending matters. Night 1 "saved " mania because the triple threat was awesome and you had Heyman turning making a memorable moment.
Night 2 was flat and basically ruined mania for a lot because you had a horrible Travis Scott interference and a slow plodding match. Put Cena on Night 1 and the triple threat on Night 2 and the impression of the weekend is a lot different .
Point 2 about the Rock. All the haters can huff and puff all they want but it's clear as day that the cold build and cold main event is 100% because of no Rock. Fans were dying for the Rock in the main event. If Rock was involved in this Mania it would be called an all time classic. The difference between this year and last year is the Rock.
I think this Mania will be looked back on much fonder in time. It will be remembered for Cenas heel title run. JEYs big title win. Becky's return. Dom getting his first singles gold. IYO cementing herself as the best of the Neo 4 Horsewoman. Fatu starting his run to the top. Hendrys first Mania. There will be a lot of moments from this mania that will probably be rather historic. Time will be much kinder to the event.
Its just that you can't go from Cody's 3 year journey to the top with the Rock the final boss to Travis Scott.

Cody nearly killed Keven Owens in the lader match, but cowered to Cena, giving him puppy eyes. Also this wasn't a no DQ match so what Travis did would have gotten Cena DQ in a normal match.
On a positive note, we don't have to hear that terrible song ever again . :D

WM 41 sucked, I can honestly say it had 2 good/great matches and 2 decent ones .... the rest was utter garbage.

Had a similar argument with my friend about WM. I think it's a complete mockery of the show to have somebody like Logan Paul beat a legit star in the business or even worse have your main event interrupted by Travis Scott

Might be the single worst moment in WWE history to me. The last match is meant to be sacred and that's completely gone now. We've been seeing interference in the main even for at least 3-4 years now...... with the advent of streaming you really don't have to pay for much of this anymore. Can honestly say if I had to pay I wouldn't but thankfully can participate with all my friends.

I remember leaving WM39 and everybody was fuming mainly because the ending went with the bloodline interfering in the main event and causing Cody to lose only to run back the same fucking story at WM40 and have him win.

Also......disagree w/you on main event of Night 1....... the triple threat was decided by a chair and a manager influencing from the outside. There used to be a point to WM as that's where storylines got decided or culminated to a honest finish....not anymore....both main events marred in outside bullshit.

Also something that seriously needs to change......the vast majority of time being taken up in WM was in wrestling entrances. The main event match of night 1 was almost as long as the 3 guys being introduced.

Entrances are supposed to be cool and grandiose especially for WM.......you had a bunch of dumbass car commercial spots that took significantly longer than needed. Not to mention rolling out guys like the guitarist from Slayer for a spot......why?

If there's any change that's present from the Vince-era it's that we will see more in-show commercials than ever before and it'll only get worse. How many spots can we market for advertisement vs how do we put on a great spectacle.

I think the bad outweighs the good here.

The good:

The triple threat for the Raw women's title was fantastic, maybe the best match of the whole event. The right woman won
The IC title match was also very good with a nice surprise, at least to me anyway, winner.
Drew/Priest was a decent enough match and finally made Drew look like a legit threat and a heel to be taken seriously
Liv Morgan's beautiful ass

The bad:

The TNA world champ being squashed
A youtuber beating a real wrestler. Logan Paul should be a chicken shit heel who pisses off fans then jobs to real wrestlers despite doing cool spots in his matches.
Cena/Cody - I love the Cena heel turn, but him and Cody have zero chemistry both on the mic and in the ring
No Rock
Stone Cold crashing into a civilian, all for a rather pointless appearance
Charlotte/Tiffany - Never let these two women work with each other ever again
A pointless triple threat on Night 1 so fragile ego Punk can delude himself into thinking he main evented a Wrestlemania
LA Knight being wasted on a pointless match with a mid-carder for a mid-card title that he is so much above it's not even funny
Bayley getting screwed
Pentagon and Fenix already looking like nobodies, with Fenyx jobbing to a joke gimmick
Chad Gable being wasted on a joke gimmick
Gunther tapping out like a pussy to a tag team mid-card act whose only refining quality is say "YEET" over and over again
A pointless tag title match that didn't belong on the card
Naomi losing to Cargill. That's not how I would have booked it. Cargill can afford a loss with the way WWE has mega pushed her.

In a better timeline, Mania could have been:

Sammi Zayn winning his first world title from a Gunther who never lost at Crown Jewel and never took a pinfall loss to Sammi before
LA Knight defending the world title against heel Cena
Chad Gable facing Otis with the winner getting full control of both Alpha Academy and American Made
Roman Reigns vs heel Cody Rhodes who sold his soul to The Rock
Tiffany Stratton vs Roxane Perez for the women's title
A REAL match between Randy Orton and Hendry
Bayley/Lyra vs Liv/Gonzalez, with Becky Lynch getting involved to get her revenge on Liv

I agree with most of that but lol Jacob Fatu is going to be a bigger star than LA Knight , Fatu is just that much better (and younger).

Is anyone else tired of modern, snarky wrestling fans? Don't get me wrong. I like people expressing themselves honestly and prefer that to obedient sheep, but it's annoying every time a heel is beating up a face and these stupid fans chant, "One more time! One more time! One more time!"

It's happening a lot these days

I've seen a few clips from Raw and it looks like it was a pretty interesting show. They actually made me care about Lyra Valkyrie for the first time ever. Stephanie Vaquer has an amazing presence to her. She just needs to work on her English and she could easily be a star. God, WWE is light years ahead of AEW when it comes to using their women despite the product's other problems.

I don't give a fuck about Rusev/Miro so him coming back gets a "meh" from me.

I totally understand wanting to choke out Michael Cole and Pat. Gunther did nothing wrong. Those two are fucking annoying.

Sami congratulating Jey is so laughable as he's ten times the talent that Jey is, yet the Yeet man is the one getting the push

Seth and Breakker and Heyman is a cool trio.

Dominic with the IC title = good. Penta doing jobs = bad. I have mixed feelings

I don't think a Cena/Orton feud is the most exciting thing in the world, but it does make some sense considering their history. Orton used to be the 1B to Cena's 1A.

Roxanne and Giulia is interesting.

Disagree on Paul. Guy is talented and young and AJ is old and on his last contract. He should be putting over Logan. Paul will feud with Uso at some point. Travis Scott sucked can't disagree there. Worst celebrity involvement makes Snooki look like Ricky Steamboat.
Mania isn't the end of a years of storylines anymore. Its a giant spectacle where big moments should happen. It's 41 Manias they evolve. Night 1 main was a great match with a mania moment of Heyman turning and joining Rollins. Depending on where this Bron Seth stuff goes it could end being a historic moment.
I think wrestling isn't for you anymore. We all grow out of it. Take a break and come back when some stars that you like are getting pushed. Your almost at full Cornette AEW hate levels here..

The fans anointed Jey. He deserves his run. Especially with his work with the bloodline. I think long term Sami will eventually turn on Jey and feud but we won't get there just yet.
Alot worse have gotten their chance.

WWE just needs to sign Mariah May Megan Bayne Skye Blue and Julia Hart and it's game over for Tony's woman's division. Rumor has it May is going to jump.

Seth having to bring out Bron to take care of Roman, not bitch ass Punk LOL

I watched the whole show, and it was pretty great. The Stephanie Vaquer/Iyo Sky match was fantastic. I feel like they will have to revisit that at some point.
I'm so sick and fucking tired of Toni Storm and Mercedes, but WWE has me totally invested in Iyo, Stephanie Vaquer, Tiffany Stratton and frankly quite a few others as well like Liv, Roxanne, Rhea Ripley, Bayley, Naomi, Giulia, and Bianca if they finally turn that bitch heel. I even give a shit about Lyra now after that Raw segment.

Feels like we got a glimpse of the future of the division last night.
