So here's what we now know:

- Tariffs played no role in the $450 (and $80 MK) price.
- In Japan the Switch 2 is about $340 but it is region locked.

So is Nintendo saying that it costs and extra $110 PER UNIT to ship outside Japan (remember the quoted prices have nothing to do with tariffs)? The region lock is clearly in place to prevent people outside of Japan from getting it at the cheaper price.

Can someone explain?

Do we know if there will be any changes made to the joysticks on the joycon? Other than the drift issue, they just feel terrible in general even compared to other handhelds like the steam deck. The travel distance is just too low, so I hope we get a better joystick with more travel distance.

Nintendo confirmed no Hall effect joysticks, supposedly best for anti drift. Nintendo said they rebuilt the sticks from the ground up and claims they should not drift!!

Nintendo has been manufacturing controllers for how long? If they say they fixed the drift issue. I'm going to wait and see.
