What an awesome collection.

I do think it's weird that The Sims series was on GameCube but not on the Switch. That would be a cool game to play handheld.

Should make a comeback on Switch 2 due to mouse controls.
Actually a collection of Maxis games using mouse controls would be cool.
Give us SimCity 1 through 2000 along with SNES simcity(unless that's on NSO???) With mouse controls.
Do the same with a bunch of Sims games.
And then drop a new Sims and simcity for Switch 2.

I'd rather just play the original FF7, but if people want to play the modern upgrade they should enjoy playing this game.

I've heard that the bloat is unreal in FFVII: Intergrade but at the same time I kind of want to experience the world and characters and story in a different light because FFVII is one of the greatest video games ever made in my opinion. To experience it in three games would be a huge commitment but if it's fun and well made then maybe one day if it goes on a huge sale. I'm in no hurry but the third game will probably be a very wild finish to cap it all off. I want to see how the final battle turns out. The final battle in FFVII is legendary. Couldn't believe what I was seeing or hearing

Remake is quite a slog but I loved Rebirth.

SOLD!

j/k it's kinda random anyway, but yeah I hated the weapons breaking all the time lol, although I guess in TotK the Fusion System kinda solved it anyway.

That app they created tells us that overworlds will probably continue to be vast worlds like near the BOTW/TOTK scope we've seen. Give or take. I doubt they made that app just for two Zelda games, the next one is going to be enormous just like the devs (Aonuma maybe?) said at one point in an interview

Not sure if I like what Nintendo is signaling here. This is some uPlay always-connected kinda nonsense. Can't they just add a repair function to the game itself?

This excerpt from the Indiana Jones retrospective in Retro Gamer is fascinating.
In 1999, Julian produced an N64 adaptation of the newly released PC title Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine. Despite a tight deadline, he all but redesigned it for console. "We wanted to do a completely reinvented N64 version of Infernal Machine," Julian reflects, "so we took the cancelled Playstation version and ported that to the N64, then we merged it with our Battle for Naboo engine. We replaced the PC controls with a new camera and control system inspired by Ocarina of Time, and then we made the weapons lock-on with targeting, and all of that, so it was essentially Ocarina of Time with Indiana Jones."

Fuck me.. the last couple of days and weeks I really hope Nintendo is gonna give us a proper, new fucking F-Zero. I need some fast futuristic F-ZERO racing, no wipeout or clone, just good old F-Zero. Iwata-san I beg you.

That's all fine and good, but Nintendo tends not to make new games in series unless they can add something new to meaningfully distinguish them. How do you make a 'new F-Zero' without basically turning it into one of the mentioned clones?

Never mind that. I tried Switch Online version and it seems the best. Less input lag and sharp image.

Weird game (Sin and Punishment)

Space Harrier II is a strange game as well. The box art is pretty disturbing. As a kid I never noticed the woman's head shown on the cover is not actually a woman's head, but some kind of alien fiend. I only noticed it in the last year or so
