Every time we rented Zelda 2, I'd barely get anywhere in it. Granted, I was probably like 6 or 7 years old so let's not start talking shit about me just yet, but even for a kid beating NES games during those times, that was a headscratcher of a game for me.

It wasn't until I tried it again later on as an adult that I started to really appreciate it.

I'm on the boat of no, do not ever remake the first two

They're fine as is. But if you want to play something similar, Breath of the Wild is kind of like how the original The Legend of Zelda would play, except without the traditional dungeons. Everything is out in the open and the key element of the game is almost entirely exploration, maybe 85-90% of the game is centered around exploring Hyrule

What the hell! If Nintendo is correct where are the female players. Mobile I can see but why lie about Nintendo!

I don't know how they are measuring video game usage, but my sister has played only minecraft on her mac laptops and animal crossing on the switch in her entire adult life. When we were younger she'd play Pokemon games too, but not much else.

Maybe male gamers just try out more games compared to female gamers?

when I setup my WiiU/3Ds/Switch I've always used same email and answer age/gender. Most people usually don't lie about that. Nintendo would securely know about their consumer demographics.

Will parents lie about their kids age/gender when signing up account? Most will usually be accurate to restrict access to mature games?

Selling like hotcakes

Crazy it sold 6 million units. How is it comparing to other Mario party games?

I never looked into Mario party numbers but I always thought that Mario party is selling like 1-2 million units worldwide.

Usually the first edition on each console sells very well.
Not sure how accurate this is but it's close. From Wiki.

I'm considering using Nintendo Online Trial and getting Vouchers for-

Xenoblade X Definitive Edition
And one of the following-

The Legend of Zelda Echos of Wisdom

Or if @Franky Family can give a full recommendation
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door Remake?

It's too early for me to sing Echoes of Wisdom's praises or critique it too much but from what I have played it is nothing too out of the ordinary from what fans have come to expect from TLoZ series. My recommendation would be to play Paper Mario: TTYD

One of a kind game, we'll never see anything like it again in the Paper Mario series unfortunately. Lol, there was a Toad lined in chalk in like some crack house in the original game for some of the versions. That's how grimey Intelligent Systems got with Rogueport. But anyway, the pros are that the levels are highly unique. Not all of them are hits but there are some that I think every Mario fan should experience at least once. Definitely give it a go because it's fun, dares to go where no other Mario game has ever gone and it has this kind of mysterious vibe to it which I appreciated. It's also pretty damn funny. Overall great game, definitely in my top 50 games of all time and one I would encourage all Mario fans to play

Echoes of Wisdom is a mid-tier Zelda game that had some fun ideas but I will likely never play again

TTYD is one of the better Mario RPG games whose remake had its fun edges sadly sanded off by Modern Localizers for the mythical Modern Audience

basically the only correct answer is Wario Ware Smooth Moves

So how about that feburary direct eh.
Can't wait for all the youtube grifters to start talking about the March direct.

The cycle of Nintendo YouTube hype up direct leaks 24/7.

Echoes is on sale on Amazon for $44 from this seller and $48 Amazon directly. https://a.co/d/1Irldy9

Echoes is worth playing, it's plays very different from regular Link playstyle. The game plays similar to BoTW. But is varied too between overworld and side scroller areas!

The only one big issue I have with the game is switching between Echoes, which is same as BoTW quick weapon/armor swapping. But echoes are so varied, you can use to ride or fly across vast areas and for side scroller area, echoes use to climb or as platforms.

But you can sort to most used. A tip with new echoes, it gets added last to list. Instead of scrolling right taking forever to end of list, click left to go directly to end of the list.

I feel as if Youtube grifters hype everything in life up though. They are always taking about house prices tanking this year or AI suddenly taking off or something else.

I think the best thing to do is just watch the official Nintendo channels and wait things out.

Dude, the items online for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is just pitiful. On Normal Items, they hand out power items like it's nothing. Each round is like 30-35% racing the rest is skewed by items dominating the round. They need to address that big time in the new Mario Kart. I would say that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe should reduce the items attainable by like 20% and reduce the probability that you get a power item (no matter what place you are) by about 50% AT LEAST. Game is so ridiculous bro, even when you're playing with Normal Items setting they hand out these game changing items like it's candy. They should have called this one Mao Zedong's Baby Kart Deluxe

I would like to have a game mode where you can shut them off (not sure if this exists. Never seen it).

Apparently you can customise the items that appear on offline multiplayer modes, but not online races sadly.

The gameplay is great enough to where that could be very fun. But the items definitely make this game exhilarating. Only problem is, the power items (Bullet Bill, Invincibility Star, Blue Shell) are out of control. You can be in 9th or 8th and the game will set you up with a pair of items that will get you 3rd or 4th with almost zero effort. It's crazy how this game favors the lesser skilled players by a significant amount. If you aren't tournament level, semi-pro, or a pro at racing these tracks you're not going to get 1st or 2nd hardly at all. 4th place through 12th place is literally just a tard fest to see which racer gets equipped with more power items at the most opportune stretches and times during the final lap. Over and over again, you can race and play dominantly for 90-96% of the race and then at the end or some point right before the end, the game is very likely to completely override all the hard work and effort put into the race

yup that was my experience as well. 2nd position to last always feels like the biggest battle. I haven't played in a while and back then it always felt like there is one guy at one who couldn't be stopped. Always way and above the rest while my ass was struggling to get to the 2nd place most of the time. It was crazy.

While playing online in Tournaments (200 CC / Normal Items / Hard CPUs) and with a full house of 12 players I'm very fortunate and lucky if I can get 3rd in a race. Sometimes I'm battling with everything just to get out of 12th through 9th place by the race's end. Competition is just that good online if you belong to a worldwide crew that engages in weekly tournaments. I'd say if I averaged all my online races, I average about 8th place most races. I'd be completely fine with that if the game were more balanced. But most races are ridiculously skewed by items, power items specifically. They ruin the competitive nature of the game a lot of the time, especially late in game

Yea definitely bro. That one's on the SNES app for NSO and I had a lot of fun playing. The Super Nintendo has so many hidden gems that very few people have played. They need to start releasing them on the NSO. Still want to see what Terranigma is like

I figure plenty of us have most of the big games already, but there is a nice sale going on right now until the 15th I believe, celebrating "MAR10 Day"

I beat Mario Wonder, well at least Bowser's castle. I still have the secret world and a decent # of ? Levels thatve now appeared on my list of stages. I like that. You beat the game, the game tells you what levels you're still missing. It'll be fun cleaning up the collectibles and revisiting levels.

The variety in this game is incredible, where I rarely saw the same idea used twice. Nintendo could've easily included 2x as many levels by simply using more of the same ideas but iterating them differently. Replaying levels is less of a slog compared to a lot of previous 2D Mario's because there's a much greater sense of uniqueness in each stage. Of course, there are SOME repeated ideas, it's not like every course is totally unique. But as a lifelong 2D Mario fan, I am impressed.

The drill cap, the elephant, and the bubble flower are all fun. Those, with the badges added in, plus all the environmental tools the game throws at you, stay fresh the whole way through. Nintendo crafted an exceptional platformer.

Yeah I was really happy with the game. And it's one of those games that I'll come back to one day down the line. I mostly finished everything but I think I had some secret world content unfinished.

It's just a really well-made 2D Mario game. The Switch is such a great secondary.
