IDK. Both got beat by Wonderboy on the feet and had to wrestle him. But Shavkat is bigger and younger. He is also a finisher, where as Belal usually grinds to a decision.

Shavkat will win on the feet, which will cause Belal to panic to wrestling and then get submitted.

That Cyborg win was a hard fought one. I thought those cuts above (both!) her eyes in Round 1 were going to lead to a stoppage.... but they never really bled that much. Never even had a doctor look at them. Cyborg is my WMMA GOAT. And damn is Pacheco a tough woman with some decent striking. She just needs more fire in her belly.

Was a good win for Ngannou... but not an impressive one. He is clearly NOT the baddest HW on the planet these days. He still has power, but seems to not want to fight on the feet anymore. Which is weird for the guy who gave up teh UFC strap to go into boxing.

Guess the PFL will have to open their purse and buy a couple HWs for Ngannou to fight.

That was a fun card.

Opening fight was amazing...though the judging was a legit ROBBERY.

Ankalaev won and I think earned a title shot at 205... but he didnt look great getting that decision.

Chimaev is the real deal. He ran right through Whittaker. He should be challenging for the belt next and taking on the winner of DDP/Strickland (assuming that gets booked).

Topuria KO'd a very game Holloway. I had Max up 2 rounds til he got caught and Topuria seized the advantage. I am still not sold on Topuria. I think had Max taken him to Rd2 4 & 5 he would have drowned him and walked to to a winning decision.

Oh shit!?!?! I didnt (luckily) see that shit post fight. Was it a jaw dislocation or did Chimaev crush it and dislodge some teeth? Either way Whittaker tapped FAST. So I assume that shit was devastating and painful.

Three frontal teeth with their part of the jaw have been completely dislocated and pushed in. Horrible picture.
 
UFC 309 tomorrow night... and I am not too hyped.

Yea, it has Jones vs Stipe for the HW belt.... but the match in no way informs who is the best UFC HW. This is clearly just a money/legacy fight and nothing more.

And besides that fight there is just Chandler vs Oliviera.... overall a weak ass card.

I'm actually really hyped for it..... from the early prelims to the undercard to the main card. I don't miss much mma and based on styles this card is guaranteed to have some good ones from start to finish.

Jon Jones should be in prison. I can never root for this MF'er. I hope Stipe breaks his neck with a punch to his jaw.

Best fight on the whole card may be Chris Weidman/Eryk Anders in the undercard.

Jones was crisp as fuck and just picked apart Stipe. Stipe seemed slow and hesitant. He was still giving Jones trouble, but he was taking 3 -1 in the exchanges.

Id rather see Jones fight Aspinal next than Peirera. And just because of the style Tom has with his speed, explosiveness and movement. Hopefully Tom wouldn't stand still and tap Jones' outreached right hand on repeat like Stipe did tonight.

Oliveira looked sharp.

Fuck Jones vs Miocic..... such a disappointment in that Miocic was so flat from the gate. Maybe that's Jones but I felt like the big xfactor in that fight was Miocic killing Jones beer gut....never once threw a body punch, Jones never felt threatened and by round 2 Miocic was flat footed. Embarrassing, glad he called it quits.

Olivera vs Chandler......fuck man. Hats off to Chandler. Salute that mf'er 100%. 20 straight minutes Olivera kicked his fucking ass....last round zero quit comes out looking to kill the MF'er. Having a full grapple on you and picking him up NOT ONCE BUT TWICE.....show stealer. Mad respect both fighters.

Watching all the old ones starting from 1. Some of these fights are absolutely brutal. Scott almost got killed had the rep not stop sooner.

75% of the PPV events aren't even worth $20 imo. The main card for many of them is underwhelming more than half of the time
 
Petr Yan vs. Deiveson Figueiredo was a great fight! It lasted all 5 rounds and both fighters had close calls.

Yan Won with the most strikes

I use a VPN and get all of the PPVs a year for one cheap price. If it wasn't for that I would just sail the seas or drop the hobby altogether. UFC could learn a lot from WWEs model
