Hmmm. Not the biggest fan of bare knuckle. Too much damage occurs for my taste. But hey if people want to watch it, more power to them. One thing I noticed as Connor said he was "an owner" not "the owner" or even "majority owner". So I would be curios what share he bought (and for how much).

Love him or hate him Connor is an entertaining man.

Tom makes a solid point. That's an insanely late card. Only the super hardcore are going to stay up. Most will have to watch it Tape Delayed like we did with Pride and like we do (most of the time) with Rizin and One.

Most UFC cards are in the US, we can stand to be the ones with a less than ideal time when the cards are abroad.

Jose Aldo looked pretty good tonight. Looks like he still has a few more fights left in him against top contenders. Fucking Legend!

Love Aldo. He did look good, was awesome to see. His body shots always put a smile on my face, savage.

This would qualify for MMA Clown World if we had it. Yes getting punched hurts and yes repeated blows (to any part of the body) can cause health complications.

Might as well have women wear head gear too lol

UFC 302 this weekend

Its not a killer card, but a handful of good match ups for sure. I really hope Strickland hands Costa an ass whooping. I want to see him get that MW belt back since the DDP fight was a contentious razor thin decision. I will also be rooting for Poirier, but he sure has his work cut out for him against Islam.

6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT prelims begin on ESPN+ and UFC Fight Pass
8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT prelims move to ESPN+ and ESPN2
10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT. main card on PPV

Islam Makhachev (155) vs. Dustin Poirier (155)
Paulo Costa (185) vs. Sean Strickland (185)
Kevin Holland (185) vs. Michal Oleksiejczuk (185)
Alex Morono (170) vs. Niko Price (170)
Randy Brown (170) vs. Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos (170)
Cesar Almeida (185) vs. Roman Kopylov (185)
Jailton Almeida (241) vs. Alexander Romanov (265)
Grant Dawson (155) vs. Joe Solecki (155)
Jake Matthews (170) vs. Philip Rowe (171)
Bassil Hafez (170) vs. Mickey Gall (170)

Always rooting for Sean, hope he gets the W. I like the card.

So after the canceled press event.... is Conor going to actually fight at UFC 303?

No.... no he isnt according to the rumors of his injury. And Chimaev pulling out of the Whittaker match. That's some back to back weak sauce.

UFC 303 is shaping up to be one hell of a card. At least 6 good matchups.

I think Ortega is being a bit risky coming in late for a matchup with Diego Lopes.

Brutal. Huge props to Alex, he said he doesn't have much time left and gladly accepted this even despite being on short notice. He's a beast.

Just watched it. And I was like "Where the hell is Brian Ortega?!" 😂

Was hoping for my guy MVP, a little too much overconfidence with not withdrawing as fast as he entered. It cost him that fight. If you don't care about grappling you have to protect yourself.

Poatan is so fun to watch. A real star. I'm glad we got to see him over that Conor fight.

That is a step in the right direction. Under the current rule it gets "gamed" by people and it makes it impossible to know if it's safe to throw a knee or not.

Next we need automatic point deduction on a second foul. Tired of the fucking warnings.

That card has the potential to be fire!

Overall been entertaining! The Blaydes stoppage felt early in real-time, but Tom was mauling him so I can live with it. Paddy ran through Green, no denying it. And Giga disappointed.

Now lets go Muhammad/Edwards!

.... and Muhammad wrestle fucked his way to championship gold.

So now that Tom had defended the Interim HW belt.... and With Gane and Volkov tied up through the end of the year. The only fights for Tom are a unification bout with Jones or a money fight with Stipe. If jones cant be ready for a NYE event, book Tom against Stipe. If Stipe wins it makes more sense why he is fighting for the title. If Tom wins, nothing really changes besides Tom making money and Jones getting more time to heal/prepare..... or just retire and let Tom be promoted to undisputed.

Max always bringing the heat, looking forward to the fight.

That one will be lit for sure! Will be rooting for Max.

While I think the other three will be great fights...they could lead to some funky situations.
Whittaker/Chimeav - Either the Chimaev hype train gets murdered....or he becomes a potential title contender in the top 3.
Ankalaev/Rakic - If Ankelaev wins, he gets a title shot.... if Rakic wins...LHW division will be kinda fucked with no real contender.... which works if Pereira goes HW.... but that's a big IF
Gane/Volk - It doesnt matter who wins really. They will fight Aspinall on his SECOND interim title defense...which is hilarious.
