Thread: MMA - Mixed Martial Arts |OT| Don't be scared homie.
Official Thread
This will be fun. It will be high level karate point fighting. Of which I think MVP is going to get better of due to his insane speed. Love me some Wonderboy, but he ain't winning this one.

Wonderboy is 41. Ok MVP is 37 but he was a can crusher for large parts of his MMA career, while Wonderboy fought some crazy battles. With a speed and timing based fighting style, the age and mileage difference will definitely favor MVP here.

How is PFL so terrible running fight cards? I mean tonight they have actually had some great fights.... but the transition from one fight to the next is slow, boring and overall amateur looking. I mean seriosuyly taked 5min to announce who won a TKO?!?!?

Brent Primus was able to go back stage, get cleaned up and changed, THEN return to the stands to take a seat and wait for the next fight. Bellator was 100X better production.

Solid UFC. Lots of good finishes.

DDP was looking like he was starting to loose momentum standing and boom he pops izzy and takes him down and grabs the back and taps Izzy.

That was a great comeback. Israel lost a lot of his mojo tbh.

Its crazy that tomorrow, the corpse of Bellator is going head to head with a UFC card.... and its the better card....despite losing its co-main event. THAT is how weak the UFC card is imo. Main event might be fun, but I expect Burns to lose a third in a row.

FUUUUUUUUKKK was that a nasty elbow by Padilla. That shit had to have broke the orbital bone or nose with how quickly it swelled to bigger than a golf ball. It was less a minute and the fight got called.

That was a great fight! Zellhuber vs Ribovics was straight up war. FOTY contender. Both nearly had each other out and they were swinging until the bell. Been good refing tonight. Letting rocked fighters try and fight back.

UUUuughh that main event ending was tragic. Moicano beat the breaks off St Denis in the first round once he got him down. I thought it was over at least twice. Only for St Denis to come back, win round two convincingly....only to to get a dr stoppage from the swelling sustained in Rd1.

Moicano messed him up at the start. Fair do's to BSD, there's no quit in him.

Always weird to be reminder that Aldo is still fighting.

Anyone picking Khalil to beat Alex? If I was a betting man, I'd put a tenner on Khalil to win by KO/TKO and a tenner on Khalil by submission. -3000, why not.

Anything is possible...but no. Poatan is the heavy favorite for a reason. The only way I see Roundtree winning is a lucking KO or decision from three rounds of take downs and ground control.

I'm still not fully sold on Alex. If he can beat Ankalaev, I'll change my tune.

In just slightly more than two years he has beaten Strickland, Adesanya, Jan, Jiri (2x) and Jamahal Hill.... and won belts in 2 divisions. He doesnt have to prove anything more to me.

Ankalaev is the unproven one. He has had ONE fight against a top 10 LHW and it ended in a draw.

I'll be interested to see how he approaches an opponent that can wrestle. Properly.

Poatan did what I expected. Though I had forecast it to happen late in rd 3. But basically what was expected, except less leg kicks due to the Roundtree fighting southpaw.

That last round was absolutely brutal. What a savage. Stalked him down with constant vicious punches. Uppercuts, hooks, straights, all so measured yet devastating.

Roundtree was tough as nails though. Huge respect for his heart, he got fucked up so hard towards the end but kept swinging and fighting, until his body collapsed.
