Stumbled across this one on X, looks good

Bro you have to visit the gaming section and not just the indie games and retro shooter threads.

Akimbot released with very positive impressions so far

Edit: do not buy on PC, stutter struggle, really bad

Very early in development, Kickstarter is on its way, so far a few atmospheric clips with bad combat animations. Has potential.

I started this up a little while ago, and what an incredible game! It's a blend of Survival Horror, Souls, and Metroidvania with rogue-lite aspects. It really nails the Souls vibe in 2.5D incredibly well. And the overall mood is excellent, full of tension and mystery with loads of secrets to discover. The combat can feel a little sluggish, but suits a Survival Horror type of game, and there are plenty of items, equipment and craftables to build your character for any situation. Really an amazing game that apparently came from a solo creator. Unbelievable! I'm about 20 hours in and completely addicted. I don't think it sold very well judging by the relatively small number of (overwhelmingly positive) reviews. But if this type of game is your thing, I'd give it the highest possible recommendation.

This looks really cool. Wishlisted for the sales.

Dungeon Clawler just got released into early access. It's a rogue like deck builder by way of mechanical claw games. It's an interesting take on the genre. I played some of the
Steam next fest demo and just picked up the game. Worth a look if you're a fan of the genre.

This looks super cozy and fun. My wife enjoys some of these off-beat roguelites. She got super addicted to Luck Be A Landlord and got way further than I did. I bet I'd like this one too.

So I bought it last night. Fun so far! Despite being early access, it has enough content and variety. Can't wait to see how it gets bigger as time goes on and the devs add more stuff.

My two sons — who like a lot of different roguelites — seemed to really enjoy it too.

Glad you guys are enjoying it. I've been playing it on and off this morning, so far floor 13 has been my best run. I've been cheated by that bloody claw more times than I can count already.
