I didn't triple dipped in 4k for all Star Wars movies because the prequels were shot in 1080p.

3. Sequel trilogy is solidly in the middle. Nowhere near as bad as some folks act like it is. Also nowhere near as good as it could have been after TFA. The transition from TLJ to RoS is jarring. If they were on the same page the ST could easily rival the OT. Also TLJ is nowhere near as bad as folks acted like it was. If they stuck to it then the ST could still have been great overall.
As if I didn't need any more reason to believe you should eat a bullet![]()
I absolutely loved TLJ however.

Not surprising, most of the movies being utter shit doesn't bother you either. The box arts don't bother me whatsoever
You guys are anal lol

35mm films don't benefit from 4K releases either.I didn't triple dipped in 4k for all Star Wars movies because the prequels were shot in 1080p.
This whitewashing of the prequels is insane to me. They were tear-jerkingly boring and cringey. Even as a 13 year old who was fucking obsessed with Star Wars walked out of seeing TPM in theaters going "what the fuck was that". The PT killed Star Wars so bad for me I didn't even bother seeing RotS till later on.Lmao at people defending Disney trilogy. These movies are Jason Takes Manhattan level garbage. Literal 1/10s. Imagine rushing to make a trilogy as soon as you finished buying the franchise without any plan whatsoever and just making stuff up as you go.
Prequels were very imaginative movies with lots to like, even if they had their faults. Most importantly they felt immersive and belonging to Star Wars universe. Disney movies are just series of dumb events with occasional middle finger to all who cares about Star Wars.

The third one was the best out of the prequel trilogy tbh. This whitewashing of the prequels is insane to me. They were tear-jerkingly boring and cringey. TFA and TLJ are absolutely a level above any of the PT. The best one, RotS, I'd put above Rise of Skywalker. That's it.
Yeah TPM and AotC are just abysmal outside the endings. Snoozefests with garbage dialogue and stiff acting. Lucas really should have had other folks direct like he did with the OT.The third one was the best out of the prequel trilogy tbh.
To me star wars is another one of those examples of a multimillion dollar franchise that got really popular then caved in because it overstayed its welcome. In my opinion lucas should've just kept the original trilogy there and called it a day all that expanded universe stuff just seems to be redundant and ruins what I always liked about it in a way but from a business perspective why wouldn't they do it? Its gonna make money.Yeah TPM and AotC are just abysmal outside the endings. Snoozefests with garbage dialogue and stiff acting. RotS had the most going for it in terms of payoff and story, and it had the opera scene (which I heard was not directed by Lucas?)... but even then it's still hampered by the same shit dialogue / direction / acting.
I get where you're coming from, but at least we get more of it. The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith are leagues better than the Disney garbage. I honestly don't know how you can say that any of the Disney sequels were good. They're so fucking bad dude. At least TPM, AotC, RotS had decent fights with characters that mattered. Who the fuck is even in the Disney sequels? I don't give a damn about a single main character in them because everything was so poorly handled. Even Rey is weak as hell. She looks it too, the entire cast was basically randomly selected at some McDonalds in the hood. Bunch of ugly slobs with zero business being on camera were gifted their role by DisneyThis whitewashing of the prequels is insane to me. They were tear-jerkingly boring and cringey. Hayden Christensen fucked up his lines occasionally but nothing is worse than the insanely retarded and woke dumpster fire that Disney thought that they could pass on as Star Wars to the fanbase
I'll take hyperbole for $1000, Alex. Your criticisms literally boil down to "I didn't like the casting and its too woke".The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith are leagues better than the Disney garbage. Naw, zero hyperbole. The Disney Star Wars films are atrocious. The kind you watch and wish you had complained to the manager about like a Karen, asking for your money back. That bad. If you think even one of the Disney sequels > the prequels (TPM, AotC, RotS) then you have the taste of a toddler who thinks Dora the Explorer is entertaining. I have zero desire to even talk about these shitty ass excuses for Star Wars that Disney tainted. At least with the prequels the worlds and enemies and story meshed decently well with the meta from the old Star Wars films. The new ones aren't even worth seeing the first time almostI'll take hyperbole for $1000, Alex. Your criticisms literally boil down to "I didn't like the casting and its too woke".
The ST isn't any more woke than anything else that's come out recently. TFA was fucking awesome and made more money than any movie since Avatar. All 3 films made a billy and reviewed better than the PT, as additional backing to the argument that ST>PT.
The PT is a snoozefest full of awful CGI, shit writing, shit dialogue, and wooden acting. The Clone Wars was a way better presentation of the prequel era.
Also the new SW TV shows are fucking fantastic. Funny enough the worst reviewed one is the one built off the PT, Obi-Wan. And for the record I liked Obi-Wan as a show better than any PT movie. The final episode was fantastic and showed Vader's transformation WAY better than RotS.
The prequels are alright. They're not extraordinary or anything but they have their moments. It's the Force Awakens forward where it gets gay. Just about the most vapid filmmaking imaginable for the budget and the prestige built up over time from prior entries. You would have thought that they had a standard that they'd hold themselves to, but no. Disney went full corporate mode and just threw money at the IP, and whatever happens they'll live with. These new Star Wars films, they're there because of money and solely because of money. From top to bottom the venture is a flop. They get by solely on what was built and loved in the past. And Disney is 100% fine with pumping them out like they're nothing and keeping this pattern of mediocrity going until they have to change and up the ante; to gain back the attention of the crowd the fanbaseThe original trilogy is where it shouldve ended. everything after it was fluff.

11 year old me loved TPM. It was my first Star Wars movie and it felt like nothing I've ever seen before. I liked all the space politics and Jedi lore they introduced. All the Palpatine machinations hits close at home I guess. These movies were well regarded at the time, had a pop culture presence and if you check rotten tomatoes they had decent critical reception back when critics were vicious to these types of movies. This whitewashing of the prequels is insane to me. You sound like you're repeating Plinkett reviews. Prequel dialogue isn't the greatest but it's memorable and got tons of meme love. The most memorable line in sequels is this:Yeah TPM and AotC are just abysmal outside the endings. Snoozefests with garbage dialogue and stiff acting. Force awakens was good though. It would've been a good trilogy if it wasn't for the final two cookie cutter films. and no those were pretty high budget films they cost Disney quite a bit of money To make. The prequels are alright.
