I haven't kept up with Assassin's Creed for a looooooong while. Have they ever followed up on Assassin's Creed 3's ending or did Ubisoft long abandon it to keep the gravy train going?
What is there to follow? Desmond's story ended there. New ones are less focused on future.
I mean it ended on a cliffhanger with one of the ancient alien chicks going off to take over the world or something, right? It's been a while.
I think she was in the background of Black Flag, Unity and Syndicate. Then they completely abandoned that storyline in Origins. They might have resolved it in a comic book or something like that.
Well that's lame.
Nobody cared about that storyline. They did a right thing.
I'm a big AC fan, but nothing about this is getting me excited. I honestly think I'd rather just go back and play the first game.
I think I'll wait for reviews and a sale before deciding.
Yep. I stopped playing after Black Flag and since then never looked back. This looks boring.
They need to desperately change the formula in a way that rather than point and do missions.
Add some complexity to the mission that makes it more interesting. Make every mission unique rather than sneak in a kill.

I liked Odyssey a fair bit, too (maybe my favorite AC game to date, all told). My only complaints were with the red vs blue mercenary stuff (big missed opportunity, imo) and enemies got pretty spongey. Otherwise, I liked the story, characters, and especially the world. A lot of people complained about the size of the map, but I never got tired exploring.Lol... They literally completely changed the formula with Orgin/Odyssey. I love them, Odyssey is one of my favorite games ever.

I was scared off of Valhalla due to all the horror stories of excessive bloat.Odyssey, Origins, and Valhalla would all be at least 9/10s without all of the bloat and dumb shit.
I really dont understand why some people praise this game. Has nobody played THE FIRST AC-game?! Same setting, same gameplay (except more focus on stealth and platforming!), and now we're repeating that lame setting? Ugh.
The setting in this is quite different to the original game. This one is set in Baghdad in the 800s during the Abbasid Caliphate, so it's basically going to be entirely Islam, whereas the first Assassin's Creed was set in 1191 (during the third Crusade) in cities like Jerusalem, Damascus, and Acre.
An unfinished piece of crap releasing a week early lmao
Maybe next year when I beat Valhalla and this is 20 dollars.
I like that it's going back to the original style but Alan Wake 2 and Mario is going to take my money this month. I'll wait for black friday
