White Lotus S3 season finale was the perfect wrap up to the show. The line Belinda delivers is so on point with how her story ended in S1

Can totally see this show was supposed to be 3 seasons long and done but it's success granted a 4th season which is unlikely to carry over unless Belinda/Gary somehow are back.

The Fast and the Furious - 10/10

Rewatched this movie a couple days ago and it's still really entertaining. Director Rob Cohen pulls together a memorable cast with great racing scenes and a well-written story. Paul Walker and Rick Yune play some of the most interesting characters and Michelle Rodriguez looks great in this original. I also really like the sound mixing and editing, the frequencies never overbearing as well as some inventive visual styles and slow-motion effects for the time. I remember the first time I watched this movie when it originally released, I fell in love with the green Eclipse and orange Supra.

The music is implemented pretty well too, particularly "Superstar" by Saliva in the race with the Ferrari, and another scene that is near the end of the movie when Brian talks to Mia about Dom at Race Wars at night, a different track by BT can be heard though I don't know which one it is.

The third episode of season 1 of Axe Cop is really good.

Flute Cop - "Why did you poison all of the guests at your party?"

Axe Cop - "Because they were all bad guys"

Flute Cop - "Oh. Wait. Why did you invite a bunch of bad guys to a party?"

Flute Cop - "So I could kill them. Clearly"

Gonna check this out, I've heard good things

Episode 3 of Axe Cop is titled "An American Story". Check it out if you want to see just one episode that sums up how great this show can be.

Watched Godzilla Minus One UHD

Bought a super cool steel limited edition. Turns out there isn't an English VO, it's only German and Japanese. Subtitles only in German. I hate watching German VO, it's always horrible.
Not too bad though because it's a Japanese movie, so I went with Japanese.

Movie itself was good but not great. Overall engaging story for the humans, ridiculous acting and writing but that's part of the charme. Pretty cool action scenes. Godzilla looked super bad ass in some scenes, in others like a retarded fat slob with weird proportions. Overall uneven presentation, some scenes looked awesome, others very bad, like really bad. No idea how this won an Oscar for the visual effects, it's cool but there's a lot of very rough shit in there, visuals wise.

Good entertainment, I enjoyed it for what it was. Godzilla charging up = highlights of the movie.

The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes movie

Fun movie with some nice old school Looney Tunes vibes. This is a throwback to Daffy Duck's early years where he was the super wacky, crazy character who goes "Whoo-hoo! whoo-hoo! Whoo-hoo!" all the time, not the tamer version of the character he would become in later years.

Don't watch the trailer, it spoils literally everything in the movie. In fact, people should probably avoid all movie trailers going forward. It amazes me when I watch something like this, then see the trailer and it's like the entire movie is right there in the trailer.

Did they ever send that daughter to an acting class or anything? She and J Edgar were two of the worst fucking actors lmao. I've seen porn stars with more acting talent.

Street Mobster (1972)

StreetMobsterposter.jpg

I have been re-watching all my Fukasaku Yakuza films in chronological order to see the evolution of his work. This has led me back to Street Mobster. First couple times I watched it, it never really jived with me. It focuses on a low level street thug instead of the machinations of large syndicates. And this street punk (Bunta Sugawara) is especially self destructive. So it kind turned me off watching him constantly throw success away in pursuit of independence. But this time I could really see the beauty in the suicidal tendency. The want for a simpler, meaner life, devoid of pomp and circumstance.

Fell asleep on the couch last night watching my Saw 4k UHD steelbook and woke up @ 8am to a half empty Lo-Carb Monster can spilled in my remote controller caddy

Enjoyed the season so far (two episodes left).

Yeah I'm all caught up now. Just waiting for the final 2 episodes to drop. I'm pretty bummed that they are wrapping the show up as I really enjoy it. They have some other show starting Maggie Q in it where Bosch will guest star, coming out but I hope they change their mind and renew Bosch again at some point. It has to be a good gig for everyone involved surely?

This is Bosch:Legacy

Bosch is a PI now. J. Edgar only tuned up a couple of times as a guest star, and the Daughter, Maddie, has improved.

Still remember Maggie Q from her Nikita days. Great show featuring female empowerment that somehow wasn't woke at all. It would stand out like a goddamn flare in the darkness in 2025.

Been watching Wolverine and the X-Men. Good show except for the art style being kind of weak

Also been watching The Looney Tunes show. Fun show. Sort of like Seinfeld with Looney Tunes characters. Easy show to binge or even have in the background while you're working or something.

Locke and Key is an odd show I started watching as well. It was partially created by Carlton Cuse

Been watching some Rick and Mortey too. Fun show but maybe a little overhyped. I'm only a few episodes in though

Started watching Futurama season 8

Finished Axe Cop, what an awesome show. Some of the best episodes:

An American Story
The Dumb List
Taxi Cop
The Center of the Ocean

I love this show

It's weird that the show was cancelled, given that a fourth season was in the works.

Another contributing element is the narrative transition within Michael Connelly's Bosch universe. The series' third season introduces Detective Renée Ballard, played by Maggie Q, who is set to lead a new spinoff series premiering in fall 2025. This shift aligns with Connelly's recent books, such as The Waiting, which focus more on Ballard than Bosch. Ending Bosch: Legacy after Season 3 allows the franchise to pivot toward Ballard's story, with Bosch transitioning to a recurring role rather than the central figure. This move may reflect a creative and strategic choice to refresh the television universe while keeping Bosch involved, avoiding the complexity of running two overlapping series.

Despite the cancellation, the creative team had been planning for a fourth season. Welliver revealed that discussions were underway for a storyline where Bosch would return to police work as a volunteer detective for the San Fernando Police Department, mirroring his arc in Connelly's novels. However, Amazon's decision cut these plans short, leaving fans and cast members disappointed but with assurances that the Bosch universe would continue through the Ballard spinoff.

Did not know this. Now I'm pissed. FU Amazon.

John Wick Chapter 4 - 8/10

My favorite scene is definitely the nightclub fight scene for the music, cinematography and editing. The movie is a little long for my liking and I laughed when John fell down all of the stairs because it made me think of Dark Souls. The scenes in Osaka, Japan were also pretty cool. Overall, while I enjoyed the movie (and various scenes from its predecessors), I still think Chapter 2 was the most memorable for me, though all four movies are fun to watch and think about John Wick going through various circles of hell with gorgeous guns, axes, swords and lots of rolling.

My favorite things in John Wick 4 are Scott Adkins and the scene where the movie literally becomes a video game.

I know the movies are supposed to be stupid, but I can never get past this instance of retardation in John Wick 3 - they are driving along the freeway shooting each other and cars and bikes are exploding all over the road.

Wick turns his bike around and goes back the way he came and the fight continues on the same road from the area they just came from. But the road is now completely cleared off. All of the stuff that happened 27 seconds ago somehow vanished. That's not an oversight, it's not giving a single fuck :ROFLMAO:

It all be explained in John Wick 5. In that film we will learn that Neo is stuck in the Matrix and has been infected with a memory virus that has him believing he is an assassin named John Wick. Its only through his death (in John Wick 4) and his resurrection does Neo start seeing the signs of the elements that will free him from this illusion. He quickly finds the four (wind, water, fire & earth), but to fully wake up he must discover the fifth element (spoilers, its the soul!).

Was watching another Coyote/Road Runner short on the Looney Tunes Show and was totally not prepared for this awesomeness:

Is Dr. who worth watching and if so, where am I beginning? The whole weeping angel thing piqued my interest and there are so many damn nods to it in gaming.

A Minecraft Movie (2025)

MV5BYzFjMzNjOTktNDBlNy00YWZhLWExYTctZDcxNDA4OWVhOTJjXkEyXkFqcGc@._V1_FMjpg_UX1000_.jpg

Just got back from 'chaperoning' my studio's trip to see A Minecraft Movie. Its about as you would expect. Over all 5.5/10. But it is visually pretty great and some of the humor lands. Jason Mamoa was actually the star of the film with a lot of funny lines. Jack Black is....Jack Black. The rest of the cast, the lispy boy, his birdfaced sister and the fat black bitch were worthless. And yes they make them all 'bad ass' to inspire Fortnite kids. And despite Mamosa being hilarious, he is also used as the woke punching bag throughout.

Mamosa's character reminded me a lot of Peter Dinklage's character in Pixels...just huge.

Our QA testers loved it and laughed at EVERY gag. Even the ones that were flatter than a 6 year girl old on a big wheel. So I have feeling younger kids will eat this shit up real well. Will not be surprised if it actually makes a lot of money.

Just watched it with my oldest daughter. She loved it, the right kind of action and humor that really landed with an 8yo. It's pretty much so ridiculous that it's kinda fine, I didn't hate my time with it, was an easy watch that didn't drag at all. Better than I thought.

Guy I don't even know where to begin with this show let alone know much what it's about.
Doctor Who has been around since the 60s. Most people watching today started with the reboot in 2005 when Russel T Davies took over the show with Christopher Eccleston as the 9th doctor. In case you don't know, Doctor Who (the main character) is a Time Lord who travels around space and time with a human companion. Inevitably every doctor dies, and their body regenerates into a new form at which point a new actor takes over. It's sort of like how there is multiple James Bonds. Different actors have been Doctor Who over the years. It's the same character but whenever a new actor takes over, the Doctor's personality changes to match the new actor. It's sort of like sci fi reincarnation.

The Doctor Who reboot was pretty great up until around 2017 when the show got super woke. It's been awful ever since and written off by most serious fans. So I'd recommend watching from 2005-2017. Stop watching the moment you see this bitch

The first couple seasons were great. Then they went woke and started promoting their female writing staff and the show suddenly turned into feelings and divorces and Rick is suddenly emotional and it's like yep you guys sure did force a bunch of women writers on us.

I'm only in season 2 and already the left leaning influence in Rick and Morty is pretty obvious, but the show's still fun. It's like a fucked-up Doctor Who. At what season does it start getting annoyingly woke?

I wouldn't say it really gets totally woke, but just the "inclusion" efforts with the staff shifted the characters in a way that didn't need to be shifted and suddenly what made the show what you liked in the first couple seasons isn't quite there anymore. But it still stayed decent with hits and misses at the least.

Well, we'll see how it goes. I'm about to start season 3. The show's not perfect by any stretch, sometimes things happen that just seem like random nonsense rather than clever writing, like those awful intergalactic TV episodes. It reminds me of Family Guy at its worst in episodes like that, but then you turn around and get great episodes like Look Whos Purging Now and the show gets me invested again. I wish they'd stop going back and forth on the marriage issues between Jerry and Beth. It's like they are on the verse of divorce. Then they work things out and are in love again. And then in the very next episode they are on the verge of divorce again. Like enough of this shit already. Either break these two up or move on from the bad marriage angle already.

Overall, I don't feel like Rick and Morty is up there with heavyweights like South Park and Futurama, but when the show brings it A game like it does in episodes like Rick Potion #9 and A Rickle in Time, it is super entertaining.

Wow. I get that it's a comedy show that isn't meant to be taken seriously, but my God the people on Rick and Morty are the most horrible human beings in existence...except Jerry. He's the only one who ISN'T a total piece of shit. He's a coward and a dummy, but still a saint compared to the rest of the family.

Alright, almost done with season 3 and I don't know if I'm gonna stick with Rick and Morty. It's such a cynical, nihilistic, and "modern" show. Plus, I'm just starting to hate everyone. Rick is basically a supervillain. Morty is a little pussy who just lets Rick corrupt him and gradually turn him into more and more of an awful human being. He's also a fucking simp for Jessica. Beth is an egotistical, narcissistic psychopath with an unhealthy obsession with her father. Summer is a stuck-up bitch who thinks she's smarter than everyone and pushes her beliefs on everyone, basically a modern day liberal. The only character who is not FUCKING INSANE AND AWFUL is Jerry, who ironically is the character that the show constantly shits on. A modern show shitting on a straight white male. Gee, imagine that. I just watched an episode where his daughter calls him a closet racist and a beta male sexist. Ugh, here we go:rolleyes:

My problem with this show is that underneath all of the comedy and crazy shenanigans going on in every episode, they constantly do subplots where it seems like the characters are going to learn something, grow as people, and change. But they never do. They continue to be scumbags, and practically every episode has random people dying and sometimes entire universes being destroyed all because of Rick and his family being absolutely horrible human beings. The fucking body count these people are responsible for is insane. Stop doing these little subplots where it looks like they are going to grow as people when they never do. Rick is a psychopath. His daughter is not much better. Morty starts the show as a decent kid but becomes more corrupt with every season and Summer is constantly up her own ass acting like she's better than everyone when she's just a stupid cunt.
