So I'm watching Grindhouse: Deathproof for the first time, I've only ever seen Planet Terror and just never got around to this.

Do they want me to hate these girls so I dont give a shit when they wind up dead? Like who am I supposed to root for here bc the killer is way more entertaining and charismatic.?

It’s sad that some fanbases are so bad that you look like a complete nerd for enjoying something really good, but Star Trek: The Next Generation.

It’s just a collection of sometimes wonderfully thoughtful sci-fi stories that are perfect to unwind with.

Likewise, Community’s first season, which I’m watching for the first time (kinda rough, imo — the show gets so much better in its second season), and sadly, finishing Psych off, which has been the definition of comfort food, and hilarious to boot.

It may be obvious that after Falcon and the Winter Soldier, I am running, not walking, away from the modern, ideologically inclined stuff.

You'd look like a fucking nerd watching that shit anyway lmao.

Currently, Falcon and the Winter Soldier and The Expanse.

I just finished episode 1 of season 4 of The Expanse.

Also finished The Boys about a week ago. Great show. Karl Urban is great. In fact, most of the characters are great.

I slept really poorly last night since the wife had some snore-louder-than-fucking-thunder party and I was too tired to go sleep in one of the other bedrooms.
Anyway, I need something easy to consume tonight, and why not one of my most fav movies ever. I watch this, have some more bundy rum and then sleep like achild dreaming about aliens in blue denim jackets:

BAD TASTE one of the best low budget movies ever made.
Is so epic.

(what do you think @Explosive Zombie you know low budget movies, this is one of the best evear )

I'm a Derek and Derek's don't run
Headshot is the only true stopper

Bad Taste rules, you also see Braindead (AKA Dead Alive)? Best movies from Peter Jackson

The Terror

fucking ace.

Also watching Deep Space 9 when doing the laundry and stuff. So far not quite on Babylon 5 level but I find it more interesting than the usual Star Trek, and so much better than any of "Discovery" it's not even funny.

The Terror is on my watch list. It’s based on the book of the same name by Dan Simmons. I’ve been on a Simmons binge lately with Flashback and Hyperion.

Attack on Titan. Recently I started watching It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. I'm biased against modern comedy, but this show was damn funny. I can't believe I missed out all those years. Had to quit when they started fagging things up though. The PC writing was on the wall.

I finished the last episode of “Chuck” today. I really enjoyed it. The cast works really well together and it rarely takes itself too seriously. A good blend of action and comedy. The ending hit me with the feels though.

Now I need to find something else to watch.

That show was legitimately unsettling, good stuff. Brilliant actors, atmosphere and sense of dread.

Been watching Snowpiercer, and it's pretty good:

Jennifer Connely, Daveed Diggs and Sean Bean make up a good cast. Yes, the premise is somewhat harebrained, but if you see it as an analogy for our class society it becomes a compelling narrative.

I’ve always avoided watching Friends because it looked so stupid but okay... I get it now. Chandler is really funny and occasionally Rachel is too.

My wife has been so smug about me liking it “I tOlD yOu It WaS fUnNy”

We had no internet for a day as we got upgraded to better speeds because we needed a dude to connect us to a different box in the basement... anyways... watched some of my blus...

Return of the Living Dead II - Not very good, even removed from comparisons to the original
Deep Space - The fun sort of retarded ROTD II should have been, annoyingly cuts away from the kills, tho
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre - Top 5 horror films
Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning - This one is fine, glad I got it unrated
Mosquito - Totally awesome schlock
Massacre in Dinosaur Valley - This released as Cannibal Ferox II in some places but honestly it's more like very sleazy Indiana Jones, there's like one scene that approximates anything in Cannibal Ferox but it's not much worse than what happens in Temple of Doom besides someone taking a chomp, it's sorta fun in a very dumb way but without the gory goods these films tend to fall flat
The Mind's Eye - After seeing VFW and Bliss I decided Begos was worth blind buying for, so I grabbed this on blu, his movie before those, it's lower budget but for my money BETTER, like a lost sequel to Scanners
Feast - I loved this back in 2006... it's still fun but has pretty glaring issues, the worst being the lighting in the second half

Just started on the 1981 BBC adaptation of John Wyndham’s Day Of The Triffids. It has that cheap early 80s BBC style of course, hints of Doctor Who of the era, but it’s got its charm.

Watched all 3 Indiana Jones movies last night, those are great.

Watched Ghostbusters 1 and 2 today, I still think people are dumb for harping on 2 it's a good movie that isn't better than the first who cares, it's good to see more of that gang and I like the score and soundtrack.

I love both Ghostbusters movies tbh. As you say, more of the gang and let’s face it they’re the reason Ghostbusters was good. An incredible cast that fits together perfectly and everyone is at their peak. What’s not to like?

When we had the Die Hard Christmas movie talk last, someone pointed out how recent physical media releases were marketing the movie as a Christmas movie, thus proving it is one.

This is a repackage release for Trains, Planes, and Automobiles, in which Steve Martin is trying to get home for Thanksgiving.

I'm not even sure they mention Christmas in this movie.

Brilliant film though.

I guess there was a lot of controversy over the Indian food eating scene in Temple of Doom. From wikipedia:

Roshan Seth, who played Chattar Lal, mentioned that the banquet scene was a joke that went wrong, saying, "Steven intended it as a joke, the joke being that Indians were so smart that they knew all Westerners think that Indians eat cockroaches, so they served them what they expected. The joke was too subtle for that film."

lol fuck you

Watched Come True(2020).

Don't watch this. An interesting concept is ruined by a fractured narrative, nonsensical events, and a complete lack of respect for the viewer's time. Literally watched people follow a bitch walking in the woods for like 15 fucking minutes, for a shitty payoff at the end.

Crap movie.

Starting on Season 4 of The Expanse.

Finished the first episode of Season 4. That was about a week ago so I need to jump back in.

I would like watch Season 3 of Stranger Things. But that would require me getting Nutflix for a month and I'm hesitant to do that just for one show.

Good Girls. It has crime, action, it's fun, like a lighter version of Ozark but with Christina Hendricks' glorious tits gracing the TV all the time.

It also has some SJW and a dumb trans kid, but it's a good show when compared to others. lol
