Thread: What Are You Currently Playing? |OT| Gotta play them all
Official Thread
Been awhile since I updated. Finished 3000th Duel the other week and I highly recommend it. The game was the perfect balance of Vania-Souls. Challenging enough but never frustrating. Some of the boss fights I cleared first try while others took me a few attempts. Really worth checking out if Castlevania meets Souls interests you.

Still on San Andreas and yeah, I'll never come back to this game. I replayed 3 + Vice City a few years ago and while they were dated, I still had a fun time. I always said GTA 4 was when Rockstar started to go downhill but really, the signs were there in San Andreas. They don't respect the players time and lock main story missions behind stupid progress. The mission where you have to swim to the freighter? Yeah, you have to go swimming for half an hour or so to build up your lung capacity. Need to progress with the casino heist? Not before you take the croupier out on a bunch of dates first. Some of the missions are just plain awful too (any of the Zero RC missions). Why do I have to waste time flying this plane towards Liberty City? Just take me there in a cutscene, having to hold down R2 for 3 minutes while doing nothing is idiotic. I don't know how much longer I have to go to finish this, I must be 10 hours or so close to the end. But this will be the last time I ever touch this game. It was a good game bogged down by Rockstar's obnoxious fart sniffing.

Interesting.

I haven't played SA since it released. I waited until midnight at a mall to get my preordered copy from EB Games and had to work at like 5am the next day. I barely got to touch it and it was the most pointless preorder experience anyone could ever have inflicted upon themselves.

Bought En Garde because it's on sale.

Ugly female lead
Traversal stutters
Very simple visuals that don't hold 60fps on my 3080 & 13600k
No PS4/Dualsense button layout

Refunded, what kind of garbage is this.

Look at this ugly ass bitch, the actual fuck are you doing like seriously. People got paid for this retard? Is that some "charming" design for modern audiences?

And check out the traversal frame hikes

Also has some shader stutter, first time certain effects hit, micro freeze.

Female is ugly but the game is alright. It has fun combat loop. Don't remember about stutters. I guess it needs 3090 for smooth gameplay :sneaky:

Playing Hogwarts Legacy, one of the first tutorial classes, very talented, very nice and very smart and perfect black girl without any flaws of course takes the main stage, gets more dialogue than any other student so far, by far. Talks about the African wizarding school Uagadou (lol), how it's basically Wakanda. Largest wizarding school in the world and the best. They don't even need wands, they do wizarding with their hands, so superior.

Uhm okay, weird flex in a game about Hogwarts, to instantly diminish it and everyone who's in there.

Playing a game called The Forgotten City.

It's a first person adventure / detective mystery game with lots of dialogue and time loop thing. It's a Skyrim mod remade into Unreal. It feels like a Skyrim mod indeed, because everything seems very janky and weird.

It's not bad overall. I got one of the endings, which took me about 2 hours, but seems like the real ending will take a lot more. I might do another run.

Been playing more and more Forza (2023) ON pc. And damn does it feel fantastic! Been running lap after lap on the nurburgring-nordschleife/ My runs in my R34 are getting legendary. Even my Evo VI and Impreza runs are getting sick.

Played and completed Space Marine 2's campaign, well paced with great combat and a real love letter to 40K. Story actually has me wanting more and I would actually recommend playing through the original before tackling this. There's some really great set piece moments and they are setting up for some fun future installments with teases and story hooks.

Highly recommended. Super fun with 2 friends too!

Not sure if related to Helldivers 2 in both code and enemy type.
Earth Defense Force is akin to a single player version of Helldivers, though it has co-op/multiplayer.

Very B-Movie/Starship Troopers movie like, an outright parody. Even has bottom tier graphics and assets that give it that extra cheap B-Movie feel. And yes, you mow down hordes of giant insects, aliens, ect.

I know.

I made a multi-level joke that transcended both games.

Second run was worth it. There's quite a lot more content and fun revelations if you go for final ending. I recommend the game if you enjoy a cool adventure and historical settings.

Playing through random ROMs on an Anbernic (GBC style) I picked up. For less than 100 bucks, it's kinda amazing. Poxel lerfect 480p screen. Smooth, casual-friendly emulator menu. It's nice.

Finally getting around to my play through of Dragons Dogma 2. It's pretty enjoyable so far. The game is throwing me into lots of random but fun encounters. Whether I go randomly exploring or doze off on a cart. Some of them seem really random, but their random nature is good to me. There has been lots of big but not important moments I haven't seen coming. That has been interesting. I'm enjoying the game!

Also playing Vampire Survivors on the side. I like this one a lot. £3 very well spent. I don't know why it was so cheap!

Still playing Street Fighter 6 and GT7. And I bought the Marvel Collection. More for the older games in the collection like XvSF and MSH. Nostalgia hits hard, I had to buy.

Playing Dark Souls 2.

I liked it at first but now it annoys me. Whoever designed HP loss after death should be fired. Well I guess he was. Otherwise seems to be the same game.

Now that they have done a year's worth of updates and added an exploration buggy, I am back to Starfield.

It's a really badly designed game. From UI to traversal, quests that involve mostly loading screens with unnecessary back and forth traversal .... it's really weird. I'll try to finish the main quest and the faction quests and then call it a day and claim my 125 gigs of SSD back.

Stumbling around the world. Defeated the first boss, some kind of giant turd. On a first try and with half HP, because I'm afraid to waste effigies.

I might be overleveled a bit because I grind around bonfires till enemies disappear. Doesn't really make the game easier. Still a pain in the ass.

Went to kill ogres near the granny hut. They were guarding some coffin that makes your character transgender. Now I know why D-Pad loves this series.

I still have like 8 bots to rescue in Astrobot... but I've beaten it.

Started Medieval (PS Remake).

Then I bought Hogwarts Legacy on PS5.

Have totally unintentionally set myself up for October by adding Hogwarts on top of Medieval. Medieval was intention. Hogwarts wasn't, but it was $25.

I grabbed NfS Hot Pursuit remaster after seeing it on sale. I don't regret it, having a blast so far.

I've slowed down a bit with Dragons Dogma 2. The travelling by foot is starting to get pretty tiresome now. Story and character wise, the game hasn't done much to capture my imagination yet. I do hope it will improve..

Dark Souls II seems like a long ass game. I'm nearing 25 hours and only killed 11 out of 41 bosses (according to wikia).

I got more comfortable at the game though. Pace have improved and I know what I'm doing now (more of less). Seems to be a decent game.

My problem with it was that I went "the wrong way" and ended up in an area that I guess I was supposed to think was too hard for me, but it wasn't. So I continued on unaware of the fact that I had skipped the entire forest area and beyond. So, when it was time to go back and do all that, it was like being a max level character fighting bunnies outside the city in an MMO.

And as far as I know, tons of other people did the same. I've seen it brought up before. I always thought they designed that aspect of it poorly.

You must have gone to flaming tower of Heidi instead of Forest of giants. Heidi was super hard even after forest for me. I had to clear the path of giant knights completely to progress.

I google stuff all the time to make sure the game doesn't waste my time. It and DS1 are so needlessly cryptic.

I'm now playing 3 games for the rest of this month and next...

I am playing Medievil.

I'm playing Spyro reignited trilogy when the kiddos are around because Medievil is a little too dark for the 3 and unders.

And when I am uninterrupted and can sink some time into a game I'm playing Hogwarts. This game is pretty fun despite the bullshit injected into it.

I'm really hoping that these selections will make an awesome combination for October. And I like to rewatch the entire series of Harry Potter movies around Halloween.

Succumbed and bought Space Marine 2 digital on PS5. Just cannot find a physical copy anywhere.

I'm new to Warhammer so to me it's like an Adam Smasher simulator.

The game itself is very good so far. Definitely get an X360 era vibe from the game, in the best of senses. Wrapped in shiny packaging of course. I think it is going to be a fun one to play through.

Everyone sounds manly as hell and is blunt to a fault. I love that 😂

Getting back into Hunt Showdown with my bud. Any of you mooks playing it on steam? Add me or you're gay.

I can do online games only for a few months every two or three years lol. Had my fill with Helldivers 2 lately. Before that, Quake Champion like three years ago.
