Thread: What’s your internet service provider , how much do you pay, and what speeds do you get?
It was better value when they used to pack in extras like cable into it, but now they are more expensive without the cable additions. Still, at least it is unlimited data and very reliable. It's hard to believe that in 2006 the data cap was 400MB per month. I remember playing a couple of red vs blue videos and accidentally breaking the cap. Oof.

I think at that time my parents paid $25 more on the monthly bill. Things got a lot better after that though. Around 2011 I think we were getting 24Mbits with ADSL 2+ or whatever, and kept getting larger and larger data allowances up to around 200GB or so. That is basically all the data my family needed back then. Even now I don't think I go much over 500GB a month.

In theory it hits 1000/1000 but usually not in practice, maybe if i could turn off every device connected to it except the one testing?

It's 100 a month for this from Verizon in my area
