Do you have a data cap and are you happy with the service? I have ATT Fiber i have the 300/300 plan and i have no complaints. Plenty speed for my needs and no data caps for $55 after taxes. What about you guys? :)

1G down and 35mb up. 80 dollars which is expensive compare to where I used to live.

My provider can charge it as the only competitor option is shit internet.

No cap btw.

Allow me to introduce myself.

Now? I have incredible speeds.
Spectrum. No cap. $80.

At least you don't have half of the Internet blocked requiring you to use slow proxies to access Twitter and such.

Yeah, the only "blocked" sites are those that refused to make adjustments in accordance with the new European privacy laws (some American news sites for example).

500/500 for 45 a month no cap.

Crazy that people have tb speeds. I don't even realize that beyond 1 gb was a thing already let alone tb.

The ones that don't ask to agree to cookies?

I assume so. Whenever I open them I get redirected immediately to an apology page telling me that the site is unaccessible to European readers.

1tb down and up in fiber. $70 a month.

Wait a sec...that is not a typo? 1TB?! The hell...wat kind of disc can even read that fast or what kind of PC cable can even transfer that much data?

Most likely a typo, especially for a residential service. In most North American cities, even getting 100+ Gbps service for commercial use would be cost-prohibitive, require expensive specialized networking gear, and top throughput could be limited to certain data centers and CDNs.

Comcast Xfinity
$35 USD/month
400 mbps down/10 mbps upload

The lowest tier works fine for me. Never have any issues with streaming/gaming etc.

Living in a rural area, monopoly means big costs. It's twice then what I was paying in Montréal.

You are all lucky...

200Mbit down / 25 Mbit up, $90 a month.

Yeah.... Optimum.. no cap... 200/35Mb down/up.... $80/mo, though I got them to reduce it to $65/mo for 12 months by threatening to switch to mobile broadband. They can get away with scumbaggery due to zero competition when it comes to hard lines. Frontier is supposed to bring in fiber but it hasn't happened yet.

I have 1 gig down/up. No caps. $80/mo.

If I'm ever left to options that enforce data caps, I'll be stopping paying for internet.

Oh I'll still have internet. I just won't be paying for it, and they won't be capping me, either....

In theory, 100MBit up and down. In practice it's plugged into a wifi router so only like 40ish. No cap, and, er... well with the current exchange rate, something like $3.50 a month.

500 down, 50 up. I pay about £46 a month, which isnt cheap, especially as i have a discounted rate. Although line rental is included with that price.
I'm with BT though, and you def get what you pay for with them. Almost zero dropouts ever, and full speed no matter the time of day.

Unlimited 940/50 Mbps cable connection, $75 CAD/month. It's extremely reliable, more so than the power company's electrical grid, so at least there's that.

Building owner here and across the street apparently won't let the competitor install their fiber lines, everyone else in the surrounding area has access to their 3Gbps service.

Unlimited, 1 gig fibre, $99. I'm not happy with the price—Canadians tend to overpay for everything—though the service is rock solid.

Update: I was prompted by this thread to call Cogeco up, tell them Rogers was offering me a deal and their retention department gave me $30 off for 24 months. Never forget the value of a polite but veiled threat!

That is horrendously expensive imo. or isn't it?

It was better value when they used to pack in extras like cable into it, but now they are more expensive without the cable additions. Still, at least it is unlimited data and very reliable. It's hard to believe that in 2006 the data cap was 400MB per month. I remember playing a couple of red vs blue videos and accidentally breaking the cap. Oof.
