I mean I still think there's a certain balance we should try to reach between how much shit posting we have here vs actual quality content. And we should be at least somewhat mindful of giving SJW cunts ammo to use against us..

The only thing is when I read the first bit is I start to question if what I post could be qualified as "quality content". The SJW cunts are coming no matter what is posted, so I care little for that. The third bit is where I am comfortable inhabiting. Let's stay there! Find the nuggets buried in all the shit!

Opinions and feedback make the world go round, imo. Maybe you feel like you got it wrong now, but it's better to have aired what you genuinely thought, versus not air it.
It's a really complex subject. Part of why I'm out here with a ten foot pole (shut up) avoiding it. Lol.
I will say, at potential risk of stepping too far into the convo, is that wherever possible, one should choose freedom. Of speech, of thought, of anything. That's where the magic happens, and that's why the rules here are so bare bones, not me being lazy, lol. The idea is a focus on just letting the community be.
I do offer some support for not intentionally crossing lines that make us look unappealing in this stage, but that really needs to be up to you guys, the posters here, and that line needs to be pushed out as far as humanly possible.

I consider this thread dirty laundry so I'm perfectly fine with it being scrubbed for launch. As Mirabilis (I found out this is actually the name of a pornstar!) keeps saying, it's early access. We're figuring shit out as we go, both mods and community together. On that note, we should also ease up a bit on mods as they're humans who are learning the ropes too. A little bit of give and take will do wonders for us all.

When I see some of the other mods post something as a moderator, I can't help but have part of me think "Who's this Farnsgoth?"

I do understand the choice. The two conflict. Like, for example, I can't call someone I'm having an argument with, over games, a narnsgoth-farnsgoth. That person is a contributor here, maybe even financially with D-Pad +. I would personally feel very insulted if a staff member talked shit on me in that manner.
So, it's kind of way for these prominent posters to be able to help us out, but not be subjected to these kinds of worries on their regular posting accounts.
But I understand your perspective. When you've been in the trenches with someone, for everything, come what may, that opinion means a little more to you. Although, as a staff member, I do have to ask you to take what they say about rule matters seriously, lol.
But, thank you. I hope that I can make it work, and maybe mods will seem more human again. More like the janitors they're supposed to be. A janitor mops up a mean spill, but nobody stands to attention around them or is nervous to express themselves. I'd like that paradigm to happen. I want El-style moderation and control through fear to die in the fiery pit it deserves.
I would only feel that way if I didn't know the staff member. I think once you know the person well enough you can shit on each other regardless of either person's position. So long as the mod never EVER abuses their power, it won't matter how much they talk shit at someone (so long as it goes both ways).
I don't tend to talk shit at people unless I know they can take it. And the best way I know this is if they post shit at me.
But I do get your point.
It requires a certain type of skill to be able to accurately determine if what you say will be taken as offence due to your position of power, or as a funny shit post from a friend. Having two accounts is just easier.
Not having a go at the other mods, of course, but I respect anyone who can pull that off
