The stuttering is a separate issue that they can only throw so many resources at. No reason to gimp cool physics based stuff that isn't tied to the stuttering while we wait.

Bought a cheap month of GamePass for like 8€, already did a trial once and can't do it again. But they give you another month for free if you allow recurring renewal, so that's two months for 8€ and I'm downloading Indiana Jones, Stalker 2 and Hellblade 2 right now. It'll take me three months to finish those games and then Doom The Dark Ages drops, so I guess I'll keep that subscription for a while. Buying all those games would be way, way more expensive. Even the keys are still very expensive.

It'll depend on the country and the parts, where they're produced. Seems to have an effect mostly in the US. And it's messy either way already. A 5090 MSRP for example is $1.999 but 2.329€, so there's a big difference.
My mobo will arrive in 20s of April. I can get CPU any day, will probably do, because I'm afraid of a sudden price hike. Only issue with that is that I won't be able to test it for 2 weeks and warranty assholes get all defensive when stuff is returned late.
But from what I gather CPUs are rarely defective.
Isn't Russia smashed by sanctions either way? I don't think the US tariffs on some countries will have a big impact on your pricing.
Retailers buy stuff via shady methods from other countries that might be affected by tariffs. Production of PC parts will be more expensive and they can hike prices too. Plus oil prices and other stuff resulting from tariffs can tumble ruble any day.

Alright D-Pad PC bro's. I need your help. So, after upgrading my gpu I was having issues with stutters. I then used Grok to try to figure out what was happening. This took several days... Turns out the newest drivers were the culprit... Reason it took several days was because my baby girl got pretty sick and it was all hands on deck. Well, during that time I happened to catch that the Samsung 990 pro SSD's were going on a steeper sale than they've ever been. So I checked what my current drive was, an intel 660p at 1800 MB/s... So I decided to get one since the 990 runs at 7,450/6,900 MB/s. Which I thought would be a huge upgrade. (I also upgraded the fans in my case to the Noctua NF-P12 redux-1700 PWM fans which are incredible btw.)
Well, when I installed the 990 pro into the top slot on my Mobo, it didn't detect it... Found out it's because my mobo is an Aorus Elite z590 ax and apparently if I'm using a 10th gen cpu, like my 10700k... I can't use PCIE gen 4... Unless I upgrade my cpu to an 11th gen... What the HELL!?! Why?
Feeling pretty pissed right now since I had planned to upgrade to an AMD cpu eventually, which would need a new mobo, cpu and matching RAM. All stuff I need to save up for and can't afford all at once atm. I'm going to try to sell my 3080 and some of my old pc stuff... But now I have this awesome SSD and can't freaking use it unless I upgrade my mobo or cpu.
Anyhow. My question is, what would be the best path, upgrade my CPU to an 11th gen intel first, or just wait it out and get the AMD cpu etc. later?

I think your PC not detecting an SSD and CPU not supporting PCIe 4 are two different things. It should detect SSD and use it at whatever speeds your mobo/cpu can allow. Something else is wrong.

I also saw 2Tb Samsung Evo 990s on sale a while back and bought one. Moved everything from my 3500mb/s Nvme to the Samsung, but there isn't exactly a massive difference in real world performance.
If you can get it to be recognised by your mobo and it says it can run at 3200mb/s, then go with that.

I bought an MSI 34" OLED so as to retire my old 27" Dell UltraSharp and delegate my Acer Predator 34" to secondary monitor and use the MSI as my primary.
I am a bit conflicted, compared to the Alienware 34" OLED I bought last month.
The Alienware is 175Hz whereas the MSI is 240Hz. Both have great image (though I can't compare side to side, as the Alienware is on the second desk), both look great.
Price-wise, I am not sure the MSI is worth the extra third (Alienware bought for £666 on sale and MSI was £950, which was quite steep).
I am a bit miffed that the MSI has a dead pixel, but I can't be bothered to return it (assuming Overclockers would accept it back). The other annoyance is that the cable plugs are too low and I can't hide them completely whilst having it on the monitor arm. I did my best to manage the cables, but I can still see them under the monitor.
Oh well, I guess these are minor annoyances. I am actually surprised with myself that I didn't go ballistics with the dead pixel, but life is too short to obsess on things that are so minor.
Now, does anyone have any good recommendations for setting up all the options on an OLED monitor so the colors are the best they can be? I am not sure I have them yet 100% to my liking. Blacks are great, but the whites are not brilliant white.

Dead pixel, return it. It'll bother you more and more as time goes on.

Honestly, except for the fact that I can't be bothered, I also can't see it unless I actively look for it and it's on white background.
I'm in the process of spending about £10k in total on new tech, with the new PC the only thing still outstanding (and it being half that budget).
Everything else so far has met and exceeded expectations.

As long as the new custom built PC (which I'm ordering in a couple of weeks hopefully) works as expected and has no issues, I'm golden for the next half decade.
My current PC will become a dedicated sim racing desktop setup on the second desk, and the new machine will replace my current one as my main workstation and gaming machine.
I dont want to sound melodramatic, but in January I thought I was dying of cancer (false alarm) and since then, I decided I ain't fussing again on the small things and I concentrate on the big picture.
