MEET YOUR MAKER​

Lilith has returned to Sanctuary, summoned by a dark ritual after eons in exile. Her return ushers in an age of darkness and misery.​

LEGIONS OF CREATION​

An old legend has it that Sanctuary was created by the union of an Angel and a Demon, and that their descendants --- humanity --- built villages, then cities and empires, spreading across the land to form the world's cultures and civilization.​

A REIGN OF ENMITY​

Chaos threatens to consume Sanctuary as evil and impeity continue to spread. Depraved demons and corrupted wildlife roam the land unchecked, as terrified townsfolk huddle in dark corners trying to survive one more day.​

CULT OF PERSONALITY​

The pious plead for guidance from their faith, but doubts have them feeling that their devotion is misplaced. Lilith's return has spawned a new wave of cultists and worshippers, but regardless of dogma, all prayers remain unanswered.​

DAUGHTER OF HATRED​

The daughter of Mephisto awakens burning urges in the hearts of those around her, be it demon, human or beast. Profound fears, unchecked rage, repressed impulses, sinful desires --- all are brought forth violently and irresistibly by her mere presence.​

Launch Times and Pre-Downloads​

Early Access to Diablo IV begins on June 1 at 4 p.m. PDT for anyone who pre-purchases a Digital Deluxe or Ultimate Edition before our official launch. To see when you can begin your journey, reference the below Early Access map for region-specific times and dates.

The official launch for Diablo IV begins on June 5 at 4 p.m. PDT. This is when owners of any edition of Diablo IV can begin their journey. As with the Early Access map, reference the below launch map for region-specific times and dates.

Pre-Downloads
​

Prepare for your descent into Hell by Pre-Loading Diablo IV early. Below you'll find instructions on how to install the game beginning on May 30 at 4 p.m. PDT for Windows PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. Purchase of any edition of Diablo IV is required to Pre-Load.​

Windows PC​

• Launch the Battle.net client. If Diablo IV is not already in your Favorites bar, you can add it by clicking on the + icon. Alternatively, you can find Diablo IV by accessing the All Games page. You'll see Diablo IV at the top of the list.
• Once you get to the Diablo IV Game Page, click the dropdown menu under Game Version and select the Diablo IV option. Click the blue button that says Install. The game will install and once it's available, click Play to Launch.
• Prepare to become the wanderer Sanctuary needs.

Xbox​

• Launch the Xbox Store and search for Diablo IV. Select Download.
• Prepare to slay Lilith's Legions.

PlayStation​

• Launch the PlayStation Store and search for Diablo IV. Select Download.
• Prepare to save Sanctuary's citizens from unspeakable darkness.

The Heroes of Sanctuary​

Create and customize your character to battle onward against the unspeakable horrors that blight this land. Choose from one of five classes, discover and experiment with a vast array of powerful equipment, and carefully select your talents and abilities to become steadfast in the face of darkness. But choose wisely; your world depends on it.

BARBARIAN
​

The Barbarian has unparalleled strength and expertly wields an entire arsenal in battle, with a weapon for every occasion. He bellows intimidating war cries and unleashes ground-shaking slams to send approaching hordes reeling.​

DRUID
​

The Druid is a savage shapeshifter, fluidly transforming between the forms of a towering bear or a vicious werewolf to fight alongside the creatures of the wild. He also commands the power of earth, wind, and storm, unleashing nature's wrath to devastating effect.​

NECROMANCER
​

Necromancers are cunning summoners that conjure vengeful hordes of the undead. Their Essence flows into three powerful bastions of Bone, Blood, or Shadow to bring low their enemies.

ROGUE
​

The Rogue is an adaptable, agile warrior who can specialize in ranged or close quarters combat. She can best any foe with her imbued weapons, perform powerful combo attacks, and can augment her arsenal with deadly poisons and shadow magic to slay demons with impunity.​

SORCERER
​

The Sorceress shapes the elements into whatever form is necessary to ensure victory, from hurling bolts of lightning, impaling her foes upon jagged spikes of ice, and raining flaming meteors down from the sky.​

Cosmetics and Character Creation​

Character Creation: Sanctuary is a diverse world with a variety of unique cultures. The Character Creator in Diablo IV echoes this sentiment with over 8 trillion appearance combinations. Each class boasts unique hairstyle selections and players can dictate their appearance down to eye color, body markings, accessories, and more.

Transmogs: Salvage loot in your inventory to unlock transmog options, allowing armor to have the visual design and color palate you prefer. Diablo IV will launch with hundreds of transmog options.

Mounts: Unlocked after completing the Main Questline with one character, Mounts have an assortment of customization options available to them, such as different types of Mounts, Armor, and Trophies. An example of this is the Cry of Ashava Mount Trophy reward that can be earned from the upcoming Server Slam. These adornments will transform your trusty ol' steed into one hell of a warhorse. Mount Trophies can be attached to the flank or saddle of your horse. There are dozens of Trophies to be found in Sanctuary. Once a Mount is unlocked, it can be used in all game modes for any and all characters the player creates.

WORLD​

STRONGHOLDS​

Heroic adventurers can clear out Strongholds such as this one, claiming them once again for the citizens of Sanctuary. The town will never be the same, but victory here can leave a lasting mark and transform this hostile region into a safe haven.

PVP​

Battles take a turn when you enter PvP zones. Mark yourself as "hostile" and these high-risk, high-reward areas of Sanctuary allow you to take a swing at other players for their valuable loot. But be warned. This also opens you up to being swung at.
