Thread: NVIDIA RTX Remix |OT| Ray Tinted Glasses
Official Thread
Nvidia released the RTX Remix code April 12 I think. So the dude basically just started working on it. No ETA yet.

Here's his Twitter:

Yep. And with all the projects I've seen that modders are working on it shouldn't be too much longer before we see a deluge of Remix content. Just like it was with UE5 stuff. People are still cutting their teeth on it atm.

Absolutely incredible what Remix does here for such an old game. And these guys are working with an unfinished/hacked version of Remix as well. When the full version releases with all the tools and UI things are gonna be super interesting.

The first video looked like shit, this one looks really nice. Oh boy, the next years will be great when all the remakes drop.

First results on the OG Tomb Raider:

That brings back memories. Bit weird watching it without sound though. Also albeit it looks great I think some of the dark areas could do with some illumination. Aso pretty sure that dude missed some secrets like a chud, and absolutely failed to carry out a Lara handstand...

This is going to be incredible in a few years. Yet another thing that AMD doesn't have support for.

I'd love love love to take all the PS4 games and Remix them.

I'm stoked. AI upscaled 4k textures + raytracing will make so many old games look great and modern, free high-quality remakes await. This has the potential to be an awesome feature for PC gamers.

Very curious to see which studios start dipping into their back catalogues to implement this for sure.

Studios aren't needed for this, modders will be all over it. That's the neat thing. Don't know if devs will actually tap into it because it's work, which costs money that needs to be made back with profits and it'll be difficult to communicate why people would have to pay for it.

It's amazing to see how greatly the visuals are affected by just adding RT. It's the perfect upgrade for older games.

Paging our resident RT tramp. @VFX_Veteran Thoughts?

A team formed by Nvidia, so they are paying the community teams to do it? At least that's what I'm reading here.

Obviously a ton of work is going into this project with all the assets and textures being touched. I'm curious how much work it'll be for normal hobby modders to only include the raytracing stuff, if it can be done inside of a feasible time frame.

Nice. Max Payne would be worth revisiting. Is Soldier of Fortune and Return to Castle Wolfenstein possible?

Both games are possible with RTX Remix, but I didn't see any projects yet.

On another note, here's a shot at Tomb Raider 2 with RTX Remix. This stuff can't come soon enough.
