Nah I disagree here. Nintendo of America have clearly slidden as much as the rest of the industry. You look at an indie showcase from 2017 and compare it to this one and the difference is night and day.

Yes, there are more woke zoomer figlets making shitty 2D narrative driven LGBT wank festivals than there were 5 years ago, but NOA chooses to highlight them exclusively. This showcase was fucking appalling because it was all about representation. That's on Nintendo of America. Japan, of course, remains based for now at least.
Where precisely do you think they're going to magic up some indie that isn't woke? Better to judge them on the content they make themselves.

okay so I sat down and watched half of these and I gotta say who the hell is in charge of marketing this crap? There was nothing worth talking about. I think nintendo just made a direct just to get people to shut up for a bit.

I don't get why a ton of indie games are woke and low quality garbage. Like whats the deal with that?
They are probably low quality games with wokeness tacked on. If all you have to do to succeed is be woke, why would you need to try with a game? See also most non-Nintendo "AAA" games.

Define 'succeed'.
Get free marketing, have companies flip head over heels to promote you and have some time in the spotlight. The indie world is quite competitive and every little thing that helps, pushes its chances of succeeding slightly above the rest.

A refresher of what's next to release 2022 and potential 2023 games

Outdated. Advance Wars 1+2 reboot delayed indefinitely. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Release moved up to July 29 same day also as Digimon Survive (it probably needs to move) and Splatoon 3 delayed to September 9th.

Breath of the Wild 2 was delayed to 2023. Also Silksong is outright vaporware at this point. Numerous directs and chances to show anything and nothing. Also Pokemon Scarlet and Violet tentatively slated for release this year.

Even with delays gonna be another solid year for Switch. Its lineup is becoming a outright beast.

"Ampere is currently forecasting a next-gen Nintendo device to release in 2024," said Harding-Rolls. "By the end of that year Switch is predicted to have sold through 146 million units meaning it still has the potential to become the best-selling console ever by the end of its lifetime, selling over 158 million units and overtaking the PlayStation 2."

I sure hope they actually do some good discounts of the Switch in its final days to get it over the line.

This came up on my youtube feed this morning. A free to play Fall Guys on the switch sounds like fun, I'll check it out when it launches in a bit over a months time on June 21.

Anyone play Rune Factory V? I have alot to play right now but I want to get it down the road. I hope it isnt one of those games that gets rare out of nowhere.

I haven't played it, there sure are a lot of RPG's for the Switch. If it's a relatively new game it shouldn't get too rare.

So all the other wars going on when advance wars first came out don't count? Virtue signalling is such a moronic sickness these days.
I probably wouldn't want to deal with the dumbasses on Twitter and the kotaku/polygon crowd either.

I still find it weird that COD is able to be played all the time with realistic gunfights, but somehow topdown colourful RPG's are felt to be promoting war.

I think the reason they gave was that it felt disrespectful given that the game doesn't take the subject all that seriously. Moving it to another time probably is the best thing they could do for the games sales though. For the best if they're using it as a test to see if Advance Wars is worth bringing back.

The third house has finally been revealed for the game. I wonder who out of the extra characters will be making an appearance? I hope Jeralt is a playable character, he got shafted last game.
