Gathered enough energy to cry myself out here, too:
Nintendo hates Monolith Soft and its fans. It makes no sense that there wasn't a new Monolith Soft-game announced today. They won't announce one for this year at the September Direct with only 2 months lead-up. They won't announce one for Spring 2022, because of Pokemon Legends Arceus. They won't announce one for Christmas 2022, because that's BotW 2's slot. It's entirely unrealistic that MS wouldn't have a new game to show after not having had a new game since 2017, with their team nearing 300 people, bigger than they've ever been and with more time than they've ever had. Nah, Nintendo is forcing them to not show stuff, both for strategical scheduling, but also because they know Xenoblade 3 or the new medieval ip would have overshadowed BotW 2. Can't show some massive, epic galaxy-spanning journey or an exciting Vision of Escaflowne-esque action-rpg when you want people to be hype for your BotW mission pak :/ Yeah sorry, I actually liked what I saw from BotW 2, but I'm too bitter rn ...
But that's not even all the bad things.
Project Zero 5 is being ported before Xenoblade X. That's just further mocking us Monolith Soft-fans. Plus let's see how this version is even more censored than the original. Then there's SMT5 that look ROUGH. Some of the scenes in the trailer reminded me of an upscaled 3DS-game. Others looked better, of course. And I hate the hero. Why can't a male hero look ... male? The boy fusions with some adult male demon and ... turns into a girl? Ugh. The crazies at Era interpret this as some progressive "gender doesn't matter" thing, of course, when in reality it's just Atlus being dumb and going for the annoying trap character trope. Boys looking like girls is the "in"-thing in weeb circles rn, so I guess that's why it's in SMT5 now. Meh.
So many old games, then. Why can't they make a new Advance Wars-game when they're making new assets anyway?
And I just don't care about 2D-Metroid. This one looks to have a "you're constantly hunted by some Nemesis" concept, which only further deflates my interest. Then there's Wario Ware ... yeah, that's a nice time waster for when it's 10 bucks used. S
Sigh ...
I wanted only one game that was perfectly reasonable to expect at this year's E3 ... and I got nothing. I'll re-eveluate my love for Nintendo now, because clearly Nintendo doesn't like me. I'm sad.
