Played a bit of Deadlink and it's rather fun. Not sure I would call it a retro shooter, because it looks very nice and has modern graphics. Plays more like a rogue like with progression based on upgrades to make your character stronger. I like it. They are aiming for Q3 2023 full release.
Also tried WRATH: Aeon of Ruin (I guess the precursor to GRAVEN). It's alright. But I can't justify it still being in Early Access since fucking 2019, so I doubt it will ever get finished.

Have both games wishlisted. But there are so many games in EA, I refuse to buy them before they get their full release.
Deadlink looks nice, Wrath will likely get kicked off my wishlist because it's ridiculous how long it's being developed.

Slayers X is out now on Gamepass. I like the look and the feel of the gameplay but enemies take too many rounds to go down. Find myself constantly hunting for ammo. That SHOULD never happen in these types of games .
That's actually a great thing about Boltgun. There's ammo everywhere. Literally, it's ridiculous how much ammo there is. Just great.

The demo was a ton of fun, also really enjoy the visual style. Looking forward to it.

I refunded BPM.
While I really liked a lot about the game, the non existent progression outside of the randomized runs and always starting over with nothing killed it for me. If they'd implement unlockables and shit to blast through the first level at least, I'd love the game.
Then I saw a pretty similar game: Metal: Hellsinger.
Same rhythm based gameplay, but more refined, with better mechanics and deeper. With an evolving song for each level. And with real levels and a story, no rogue light shit. It's kinda cringe and cheesy, made by hilarious metal heads. But it's really fun, played the demo and will most likely buy the game. Will add it to the OP.

I liked the first one, though I did give up towards the very end, as it became increasingly difficult and the final maps were not fun at all.
SPRAWL releases in stacked August. I'll be there day one though, simply because the movement looks so good and because it has shotgun jumps.
New game is in early development, no title yet, it's "Doom guy with a Titanfall suit". I'll follow the dev.
