Something in the water in Utah. Head kick city

That head kick looked weird, looked to me like Dustin easily blocked it, but then went down. Very good fight by both men.

Split decision fight Alex vs Jan was a bit boring, but Alex was pretty competent in defending the chokes.

Lewis was fire, brutal.

PSA: There is ONE Fight Night 13 at 8pm EST on Amazon if you are US/CA resident. I have been a huge fan of these ONE cards included with Prime and targeting North American markets. The variety of the bout types really makes them fun.

Lineker had an epic comeback last night. Kim had taken him down and whooped on him in Rd1 and RD2 (and up til this clip R3) had been very close. Lineker had to get a finish or the decision would have been a toss up. They say it as with 4s left... but watching it real time there was MAYBE 2s from Herb stepping and the bell. Maybe less. Very exciting!

Wildly swinging and connecting, vicious lucky punch, wow. Proof that anything can happen at any time in MMA!

Unsurprisingly, Nate Diaz lost the boxing match against Jake Paul via decision. Curious for how much longer the "out of prime MMA fighter against Jake Paul" thing will be popular. It's actually sad, especially in cases like this, where it's pretty much a mismatch with a way smaller Nate who has weak punching power and isn't explosive at all, with long skinny arms etc. Very effective for MMA, not made for boxing though.

It makes me genuinely sad that people watch these 'fights'. And embarrassed that some even pay money.

Last nights Bellator was ok. A few really good fights and few stinkers.

Moldavsky vs Mowery was less entertaining than it could have been. But I am not going to knock Moldavsky for playing the wrestling top smother with a guy who is like 5 inches taller and over 20lbs heavier.

But with said win, and Nemkov talking about going HW, we would now have two Fedor Team title contenders at the same time. Wild!

The meltdowns over the Cub Swanson decision are hilarious. If you think that was a "robbery" you do not understand what you are watching.

Cub rocked Dawodu in Rd 1 but it was a close round. I leaned Cub, but could easily be seen the other way
R2 Dawodu was controlling Cub on the fence most of rd2, but the round ended with Cub beating him up.
Then round 3 was also close but it was a clear Cub round, ESPECIALLY with the TWO back to back groin strikes by Dawodu. (Surprised no point was deducted considering teh second was <10s after the first warning)

So from where I was sitting it looked like a Draw. So going either way would have been reasonable.

Robbery..... fucking amateurs.

Oh Sheeeeet! O'Malley beat ALJO and is now bantam weight champ! And by a vicious TKO.

Edit: the second round and finish for those who missed.

It was a nice performance by Sean, he's surprisingly vicious for his lean body.

One thing that I keep seeing, especially with taller fighters that will backfire at one point, is the punch defense. They keep holding their chin up in the air, trying to lean backwards to avoid punches. Leaning back is effective in some cases of course but you can't just do it and keep your chin exposed,. it'll get you hurt sooner or later.

That reminds me of Fedor and Anderson Silva. They would lean back cuz they had the reflexes to avoid.... but once they got older and their reaction time was slowed.... it was their undoing.

So how bad does Holloway beat the Korean Zombie this weekend? I am thinking a TKO in the 3rd. It will be the culmination of hundreds of strikes landed.

That or a very clear decision. KZ is able to land that surprise hit though, the dude is always game. Still should clearly go to Max.

And what happened? Holloway got the KO in the 3rd!!! I'd like to brag about the forecast, but I was just reading what was written on the wall.

Ever tried betting some money lol. Nice one.

As expected, Max was the cleaner and more technical striker. I was surprised KZ made it out of that choke in the second, looked tight. KZ is clearly out of his prime, but still game.

Mike Tyson, Muhammad Ali, and Fedor Emelianenko are all a part of the game's roster as a pre-order bonus.

FUCK.... I might have to get this. I bought 2 or 3 of the entries so far been disappointed with each. But damn, if true, I think I have to take one more bite at the apple.

Huh now that's interesting, Fedor finally in the UFC. I was never able to really get into the games, unfortunately.

UFC Paris, don't know man, something about Gane is so weird to me. He's a very sharp striker for the most part but some of the weak ass gay hammer fist like punches while standing towards the end were so dumb and looked amateurish.

I didnt catch the fight, but have seen the gifs of the closing shots. And yea those hammer fists were funky looking.

This is super cringe. Izzy sounds like a complete tool. Dricus fought in July and wants a little time to heal. Izzy fought last in APRIL. But hey if Izzy wants to duck the #1 ranked MW and fight the #5 ranked WELTERWEIGHT, more power to him. But casting shade on Dricus here is weak sauce.

I think it's just some mind games, Izzy is big on that.

I normally dont watch Bare Knuckle fights, but Gamebred event is streaming free.

Honestly that was a solid card. Miles better than PFL but not yet on the level of Rizin, One, Bellator and UFC.

And damn did Werdum's eye get fucked up. He looked game as hell, but Cigano was so surgical.

Also if you can, try and find the gif of Rivera ATTEMPTING to suplex Weiss. Was some crazy shit. I had to watch teh replay to even understand what happened.

Completely missed this event, have to watch those fight, thanks for giving me the heads up!

@Arkam I watched the bare knuckle MMA event. Yeah just like the bare knuckle boxing, I don't like it. The Werdum vs Dos Santos fight was not what I like to see. Both very hesitant to strike because of the missing gloves, way more kicks than usual. And with these big punchers, fucked up eyes and faces even after jabs. I'm not into it.

I think barring some miracle, Izzy is going to dispatch Strickland quickly. But I didn't see O'Malley beating Aljo either, so what do I know.

Well this was a garbage prediction. Strickland whooped Izzy's ass. That was almost a TKO in round one. Like REAL close. Izzy took one round and spent the entire fight moving backwards.

I loved the pressure by Sean. Wasn't all that exciting overall because Izzy is so slick in his defense, but a very good performance by Sean. I enjoyed how well he kept using the teep.

Strickland put on an amazing performance last night. I know its not the most exciting for most people. But I enjoy a technical fight. Especially when the guy who wasn't supposed to win does it like that.

He was right in front of Izzy the whole fight and barely gave him anything to counter off of.

He fought a smart fight and walked Izzy down, relentlessly. In key moments, using the teep to keep his counters in check. Smart offensive and defensive moves. Izzy never found his groove.
