See, this angle could be done well, but the gay bollocks that will surround it will inevitably be cringy Twitter weirdo pandering and make zero fucking sense.
Symbiotes are asexual, genderless slime monsters, but I do think there has always been a weird psychosexual component to them, in a similar mold to Aliens, since there's the whole aggressive penetrative manner they bond to a host, and begin to manipulate and warp their minds into increasingly aggressive and violent behavior that inevitably spawns more of the creature, which feeds off the emotions of the host.
There's also the subtext in the traditional comic book narrative of the Symbiote trying to give Peter Parker what it thinks he wants, playing on his emotions and hormones to drive more aggressive, assertive and dominant traits, with Peter's rejection of the creature being taken almost like that of a jilted lover, with Venom seeking out another host that hated Peter and driving Eddie to obsessively stalk and try to hurt Peter for that rejection.
There's a really interesting Sci Fi, inhuman romance and toxic relationship analogue that could be explored there, basically.
But modern Hollywood is shit, so it will just be about how great bumming is instead.
