Thread: Karate Kid: Legends - Official Trailer
I really don't care about Daniel character vs Johnny so will wait and see if he is part of this but I doubt he is.

Karate is gay. MMA exposed it.

So is that Daniel's bastard son or something?

I always thought the point of Karate kid was the whole clash of cultures deal which feels kind of defeated her with making the kid Asian.

All though is name is Wang. Lol. Should have got Marc Dong to play the bad guy so it's Wang vs Dong

I don't care about this new kid from this movie. They already established who the next Karate Kid should have been in season 1 of Cobra Kai and then changed their minds:rolleyes:

They even had the Karate Kid goes to the dark side story line

If there's no tie in to Cobra Kai and this is a stand alone movie it's going to completely bomb.

Original Karate Kid was in an era where bullying was a norm. You do the same shit from the original movie and you're expelled going to a charter school in weekly therapy sessions for not using your words.

In an era when young people are more cynical and have far more media options this is trying to appeal to folks from the 1980's

Man that's fucking depressing to think about.

Make Bullying Great Again

Season 4 is my favorite. Season 5 is decent. Season 6 (the current one) is where the show goes off the rails.

I just finished season 4 and agree it's the best season so far. Though the twists I saw a mile away lol

I'm honestly curious how MMA exposed Karate?

jujitsu or muay thai has been proven more useful in UFC/MMA fights.

Of course, the best strategy in real life is just to run away or use a gun. Any fight with more than one person you are guaranteed to get your ass handed to you no matter how skilled of a fighter

Because an MMA guy will kill some Karate guy waxing off and doing a crane kick.

People today can watch UFC and see actual fights. Back in the 80s the mystique of Karate and Kung Fu and Tai Chi could exists because most people had no way of seeing actual real fights outside of Boxing.

Cobra Kai has actually poked fun at the MMA thing on occasion, they know. It's 2024, everyone knows about UFC. Johnny got his ass kicked by an MMA guy in one episode after saying something about how MMA is for pussies. He beat the guy after getting help from his son if I recall, he basically cheated. There's a funny MMA related clip from season 1 as well, that was removed from the show before it released. They should put it as an extra on a blu-ray one day

I'm a Robbie fanboy, and season 4 was the most badass version of him. Robbie > Miguel
