me.Never cared for them. Who watches their 10 hour long goty deliberations?
I never heard of these guys until 2021 besides in review sections in gaming magazines where they'd have their score posted for certain games. What is Giant Bomb like? Just a handful of passionate gamers who created a network of like reviewers, forums, and other content?
I'm with you on that, though i think the last one i listened to was Dan's last one. Were great for in the ear and 10 hour shifts.
There's literally zero strong personalities on the podcast. Jan is incredibly safe and boring, Jason should prioritise his health and never offers much beyond a crumb of fighting game knowledge. Jess is obnoxious and can't help but talk over everyone else and Bakalar would rather be anywhere else talking about pinball or hockey, his two actual passions.A site based around personality where nobody left has a personality
Well that was predictable. I'm guessing that when the "restructuring" happened and Brad, Vinnie and Alex left, Jeff had a contract to stay as a reassuring figure to fans and to oversee the transition.
He always seemed like the kind of dude that liked things coming to a natural end, and the natural end for GB was right before Abby and Ben joined.
That's when GB went on life support, the exact time of death was Dream Daddy GOTY discussionIt was fun for a time, but all things change. Good luck with his family.
GB died with the hiring of Abby and Ben. Those two were insufferable and killed interest I had. I do listen to the Nextlander podcast. Vinny, Brad and Alex.
The idea that Abby couldn't understand that her personal game wasn't going to get GOTY and Jeff having to basically tell her to shut up about it after hours of insisting was the end. And then she got a bunch of white knights from it.That's when GB went on life support, the exact time of death was Dream Daddy GOTY discussion
Oh god. Thankfully I stopped listening before this. That sounds insufferable.Honestly, I might give this new crew a chance. It won't be "Giant Bomb" as I once knew it, but I got sick of the old crew after Jeff, Brad, Alex, and Vinny all got dour and jaded about games and seemed more interested in lamenting about politics and trying to prove how woke they were for aging white men.

At least this new "core crew" seems to have some enthusiasm. We'll see if they can make anything interesting.
He quit. According to this video "Fuck that place, I quit!"What the fuck is going on here? I love Dan but no way I'm watching GB again. Did he get fired from WWE or something?
Lol, what the fuck? Did the people who acquired Giant Bomb bring back Dan and push out Jeff (or basically let him know he wouldn't be in charge in anymore, leading to him leaving on his own)?
