Official response aleady from Nixxes:

We are aware of reports of performance issues when using a DualSense controller wirelessly. While we work on a fix, as a workaround, you can plug the controller in. If you want to keep using the controller wirelessly, try enabling Steam Input.

WHAT 🤡🤣😂

HOW COULD THE DEVELOPER OF A OFFICIAL SONY GAME KNOW THAT ENTITLED PC SCUMBAGS WANT TO PLAY WITH THE OFFICIAL SONY CONTROLLER FOR WHICH THEY CLAIM FULL SUPPORT IN ALL THEIR MARKETING MATERIALS.

Seriously though Sony want me to buy a Xbox one controller. When everyone plays, we all win.

I bought a series x controller for PC games, love it minus the stupid batteries

I do prefer the Duelsense by quite a bit. I don't like controllers with rough sides and that white night light on the Xbox controller was really distracting in a dark room. Totally subjective opinion though.

I tried enabling Steam Input and im maxed out at 4k 120fps again so its not really a big deal, though the enhanced haptics would of course be nice to have.

It really is mind blowing, using the official Sony controller halves the performance in a Sony game.

Why would Jim Ryan do this to us.

Honestly if it wasn't for the Steam forums I'd never think to blame the controller for performance issues lol.

Reminds me of a game... possibly God of War (?) that had an issue with Signal RGB on launch.

Am I being thick it says to pry open the door and no button seems to be opening it. The very first door at the hand scanner lol.

Im going to leave it tonight. Controls just feel wrong... like no button prompt when near resources other than text of what it is, door saying i should be able to pry it open but nothing working, jumping every time I craft arrows in the radical menu, the hide UI button in photo mode not working...

What are you some kind of filthy casual.

Control wise my only issue is that camera feels wonky. It's registers small movements too fast but slow when turning your head around. Don't know if it's DualSense acting up or framerate. Don't think it's framerate. Game runs 50-100 fps maxed out without DLSS for me (though I can't tell framerate for sure). My old CPU is holding up. I think motion blur to 0 helps.

Being that I've skipped this whole console generation I'm still ignorant to this Dualsense 'tingle' thing. I have a PS4/X1 Controller so I've never had issues. Is the Dualsense when usable on a PC really that cool/worth the price? Just curious as I know it'll only work on Sony games which narrows the field but I'd like to know your impressions on PC w/this game

It's not just Sony games. More games are supporting it in my experience, along with Haptic triggers. It's nothing amazing but both are nice little extra features. For the speaker to work on PC you have to be plugged in with a wire I believe?

For my money the Duel Sense is the best controller on the market and Steam supports it natively now in many cases. I have two and the docking station, which makes everything seamless.

I think I'm being CPU limited after all. GPU usage seem to stop at 30%, while CPU is around 70%. Game loses some smoothness in combat and at towns. Still very playable.

Turned off camera shake option in settings and feels better, though I feel like there's still a bit of classic PS4 input delay when moving camera. Forced into a game. Character movements registers faster than camera changes. Maybe I'm imagining this but I just played En Garde which had similar controls and it felt a lot more snappy.

Got to the main world area. So far I'm not too captivated by the game. Let's see if it gets better.

Personally Xbox One controller feels smaller and more comfortable. But I'll play on Dualsense for it's bonus features. Dualsense seem to have full support on PC. Plug and play, works as an Xbox controller in every game. There's also a Sony app to update its firmware.

Got to the first town, everything is working apart from the hide UI button on the photo mode. Says its "x" but its not (nor square).

Im a bit like He1nz, luke warm on it. The graphics while good are almost too detailed, like its harder to focus on individual elements if that makes sense i.e when theres thousands of individual flowers in every screen. I always though Horizon games have a bit of a rough learning curve at the beginning. Once you start getting familiar with the systems the combat shines. The main character worship is real, but I guess its justified after the events of the last game. Bit of a slow opening, I think there might of being a more exciting way to continue on over investigating a signal transmission.

I like it enough to keep going, but not sure its one I'll finish just yet.

Getting this weird bugged dust effect. Googled it and I'm not the only one. Hope to see it fixed.

Looks like your about as far as me. The Gate battle was unexpected and really fun. I am just not too bothered about the tribe things and there's so much game lol.

I find the triggers annoying and disable them.

@HE1NZ I got to the same are as you. I'm not 100% sure its a graphical glitch, is it not just the sun rays shining though the sand in the air? Perhaps someone with the console version can say for sure.

So I did the next main story mission (going where Sylens was) and things get even more intresting. I'd much rather find out about this new faction than the tribe drama BS, that is kind of played out from the first game.

It's definitely a glitch. Transparent planes with dust aren't rotated properly.

When you do the next main story mission, let me know what you think!

Oh and I found out how to remove the UI in photo mode. It's not X as it says but touch pad left, on the Duel Sense.

I went to Plainsong. Just discovered possibly a base of operations in the first Caldron. Haven't had much chance to play with having a new puppy, but off most of next week.

How do you like the game overall? Especially in comparison to the first one.

It's very similar, technically better. I feel a bit like I do with Ubisoft games though with regards to open world games. The type of gamer I am, I'd rather play tighter narrative focused experiences. I guess it's fair to say it's the first Sony exclusive I'm not super hot on in a long while. Its a good time but I think I'd rather be replaying a favorite game at the moment. I'll keep playing and my interest will probably go one way or another. The weakest part for me is all the tribe stuff, there are more interesting parts I can't really mention without spoilers though.

I could play 100 Uncharted, Bioshock or story driven games but with Horizon and Spiderman I feel like I've kind of had my fill with the first games. The Witcher 3 set a pretty high bar about what an open world game can be IMO, it's hard for any game to live up to it.

It's the worst location and dumbest tribe. Thankfully you don't have to spend a lot of time there. Once you get your "base of operations" story gets better and you get a clear idea of what you're supposed to do in the game. Story missions after that were all very fun.

I think I'm going to leave it for now. There's just too much filler with it being open world. It's not bad but I just wish I was playing other games more. Like continuing on with Final Fantasy 7 Remake or Evil Within replays.
