I also noticed the marketing change. The poster and in fact the trailer as well focused more on the dude than the chick, interesting that they must've felt they had to do that.
I actually prefer the first poster mostly because the second feels like a generic action movie poster, the first one at least had some style posing on top of the muscular car etc.
No way the delay would be to change any story elements if they're major, the timeframe simply doesn't allow for it. I'd say it's more in line with typical Rockstar delays, like the dozen of them that happened with RDR 2. Did anybody seriously expect to come out this year ? I wouldn't even be surprised if it gets pushed to late 2026, again, just like RDR 2.
Even though I was never too big on the GTA series (last one I properly played was Chinatown Wars), I'm actually quite interested in this one, purely for the story and whether they could stick the landing with the Bonnie and Clyde concept, it's a refreshing idea. I'm especially interested in their execution without key figures like Michael Unsworth, Dan Houser and Lazlow Jones who left the company after RDR 2, it'd be the first the game without them so I'm interested in if they can still pull it off (both Red Dead games continue to have some of the best writing in all of gaming).
Perhaps I should properly revisit the series where I left off, Ideally I'd only be doing story missions though as I'm generally tired of open world wandering, but from my 100 hour playthrough of RDR 2 I know it's a disservice to only play the story missions for these games, I'm conflicted here, lol.
