That's one of the coolest things I've seen a forum member do for his fellow buddies. Absolutely love my 80s themed avatar and will be my permanent one from now on.

Thank you so much! Its a bit of work, but it adds a certain flavor to the competition and I see it as a little reward for people to step up and participate.

I stumbled into this thread and it's cool. Cool avatars. I'm team 90's all the way. The high point of modern civilisation. No idea how this game works though. I guess I'm too late?

@Vow @Yawnson There was a cutoff before but luckily since I haven't started the simulation yet, you can both scrape in. 
Vow you will be in team 90s, and to balance things out, you will be in team 80s Yawnson.
The main thing you both need to do is choose your buddy from the guest list below. You'll both need to choose a character from your respective team. It is first come, first served so whoever chooses the character first gets them. After that you don't need to do anything and just wait to see the results of your characters in the competition. I'll be releasing the results of the competition beginning on Monday.

@Mickmrly, Question: Why are there two Power Rangers, no turtles, and no Ghostbusters? This is not according to the unwritten hierarchy of 80's/90's pop culture.

Full House which Uncle Jessy is from came out in 87, but it did have a few seasons in the 90s as well. Monkey Magic was the late 70s apparently, even though I saw it on TV in the late 90s.
Astro Boy did come out in the 80s but the guest picks were already voted on in the other Hunger Games 6 thread, with the voting finishing earlier this week. I think next time I will advertise the games a bit more with an event countdown so people have enough time to vote for the guests.
Are you ashamed of Uncle Jessy? Is that why you want Astro Boy?
