It seems like a lot of people are seething about the mod removal as if the changes were the problem, but I was under the impression the mod was removed more because of the comments and attention it was gathering, not the content specifically.
Yeah this kinda just sheds some light on the reality that these so-called progressive companies will mod the freak flag out of their own game to get some extra sales from "bigot countries."

It's due to the name of the mod. Between what it does and what is called it implies using force to remove LGBT people. If it was called "America fuck yeah" I doubt anyone would care.

Are you a console gamer? Being cucked is part of life on consoles, but this doesn't fly on PC.
It does when a popular belief of those is gender is fluid. Well a non Newtonian fluid is fluid until you apply force. It's just a play on words and I don't know the intent, but I do understand the issue.

I basically interpret that as just saying it isn't fluid.
But considering the mod just sets the game to the ME version, I guess that interpretation makes sense.
Once you add a bunch of homophobic comments to the mod it kinda seals the deal on what it is and means now regardless of the original intent of the author.
The modder is an idiot for naming it the way he did but people are cunts for Reeeing over a the national flag.

Ok, but so what? PC is supposed to be a free and open platform. If they wanted to make a mod where Spiderman is a splatoon character going around shooting police, I'd be fine with that.
I don't even care about spiderman or this mod, but I see the freedom of PC under attack and that is something I deeply care about.
That's not even taking into account that this isn't really a mod, it just sets the game state to a version shipped by the publisher. The dude just came up with a funny name, it's the internet.

It is still free and open. You can download the mod from the link in the OP and play it now. Nexus mods don't have to host content they don't want to. They also have the freedom to choose.

Torrents really would be the best method as no one can take them down, not even cloud hosts.
