Now, as an Expeditioner, he devotes his final year of life to defeating the Paintress and reclaiming a future for Lumière's children.

At 16 years of age, Maelle is significantly younger than the other Expeditioners. Unlike them, she views the Expedition as her chance to explore the world beyond Lumière and finally forge her own destiny.

Sciel (voiced by Shala Nyx) is a calm, cheerful warrior. Once a farmer and now a teacher, Sciel embraces every day with joy, masking the pain of a tragic past. But her teasing smile masks a dark and painful past. Though deeply committed to the Expedition, she is untroubled by the spectre of failure. They will do all in their power, and it will either be enough, or it won't.

LO was amazing. An amazing experience in a generation with a lot of them.
Very disappointing the creator Sakaguchi actually went on record as not being interested in having Lost Odyssey or Blue Dragon ported. Guess Fantasian NEO Dimension being updated and ported from the prison that is the Apple Store will have to suffice for now. Also the Pixel Remasters of Final Fantasy I-VI have gotten several patches to get them to a decent level.
I've also got this on my watchlist, looks great. Only thing that raises a red flag is the price been lower in all honesty.
I think the price point is great actually.

What concerns me is the lack of any info on towns/settlements so I expect them to be disappointing and or non-existent, and for the ending to be hopelessly bleak/pointless/stupid.

I mean sure in isolation the price is great. But how often do Publishers give us alot of a little? I hope they are pricing it low to help establish the IP and support it's gamepass endeavour, but experience has told me to hang fire until the reviews are out.

That game is such a shit sandwich. I found myself rooting for the machines as they were more likable and a better future for the world overall than the disgusting people the designers chose to represent "humanity."

The story is absolute nonsense and there's a bunch of woke shit but it has three things that redeem it:

-The game has great graphics
-The gameplay of fighting the machines is fun
-Lance Reddick

Anyone know if this is gonna be steam deck verified I would love to play it on my beastly computer, but with a newborn, I don't see that being possible might be able to get in some gameing in between feeds on the steam deck, though

Insane OT and great job game looks amazing

Folks spend more than 50 on shorter games. I don't see the concern. It's a niche genre where games regularly launch in the 50-60 range. e.g. Legend of Heroes and the new Rune Factory are 60.

I'm definitely getting Expedition 33, but I think releasing a free ES game on GP right before it comes out is fucking brutal.
Only releases as bad or worse would be GTA6, Fallout 3 Remaster, Fallout 5, Red Dead Redemption Remake, Red Dead Redemption 3, Zelda Mainline/Ocarina of Time Remake, Witcher 4, old Final Fantasy when it could do no wrong though potentially Final Fantasy IX Remake, Halo when it could do no wrong, Monster Hunter post World, Hogwarts Legacy 2, Persona 4 remake, Persona 6, and none of them do shadowdrops everyone knows when to schedule and keep their games out of their path.

No seriously I thought Horizon Zero Dawn going up against Breath of the Wild, then Horizon Forbidden West going up against Elden Ring was bad.

No, Elder Scrolls IV Remaster shadowdropping 2 days before Expedition 33 launch window is absolutely the most fucking brutal timing I've ever seen with any game release, bar only games that had the sheer misfortunate to be impacted by the delays/cancellations brought about by the Covid19 pendemic.

  • This tbh
Reactions: WhatIsThis?
Imagine trusting your game to Gamepass/Microsoft and they release a first party beloved fan favorite remaster from the same genre, two days before release. Not to mention all the modders that were working on bringing over Oblivion to Skyrim for years etc.

Sony also have made similar mistakes in the past and they just seem so easy to avoid.
