Thread: Alien: Romulus | Teaser Trailer
Is long legs gory? I like horror but I despise gratuitous gore.

Not really. There are a few violent moments in the movie but I'd say more suspenseful, focuses more on the camera shots and the buildup of tension. Any gore it does have in one or 2 places is fleeting. But also has enough unsettling moments between to keep it moving nicely.

I think it is a bit like a mix between Hereditary and Sinister if you have seen those.

I really enjoyed it. Will defo pick up the UHD and watch again.

I rewatched Prometheus and Covenant today. And I have decided it is time for me to put the films in order.

Alien
Aliens
Prometheus
Covenant
Alien 3
Romulus
Resurrection

Everybody knows the problems with the 2 movies previous to this. But I love that they tried to bring something new to the table and the production value in both is fantastic.

Over time I think that Scott was right that the formula needed to be expanded upon. My biggest complaint with Romulus is that it is essentially everything that we have seen before. It is still entertaining, but has to sit low on my movie order for that reason.

Just saw it, finally. Well done, but so much more of the same and formulaic. Too predictable. Didn't give one iota of a damn about 95% of the cast. Preferred the last two films for potential and story direction.

That said, still a nice follow up to the original film and I enjoyed that they bothered to be faithful to the tech authentics. Nice cameo as well.

Kinda felt that they should have just adapted the Alien game Sega published a decade ago or so instead.

But still enjoyed it more than Alien 3 or Resurrection.

I went in blind expecting a Covenant sequel and was pretty disappointed.
