Thread: Baltimore bridge collapsed after collision with a ship
Wow, that's fucked.

The ongoing competency crisis is brilliantly entertaining if nothing else.

As I've said before, when you bear in mind the average IQ today is only just above 80, compared to what would have been the 100 average in 1900, suddenly a lot of this shit starts to make sense.

Worse, this decline seems to be accelerating in universities now, where IQ's are falling faster than the average, due to a combination of the fact more people are going, standards are falling and that just generally fewer intelligent people seem to be being born to raise the average at the higher ends, meaning that even the 'qualified experts' are soon going to be clinically retarded, by the standards of the people that created the instructions they're going into in the first place.

That is so fucken nuts. I don't know the size of that bridge. Is it a car bridge? How many people could have been on it? Oh man. Thats terrifying.

There were cars & other vehicles on the bridge. They've said up to 20 people could be in the water. One person has been rescued and is in a very serious condition.

1.6 miles long. Pretty long so I'd definitely expect it to be a general usage road.

Hope that the rescue operations are successful.

The ship probably didn't have enough time to course correct after the power came back on.

I'll add though some of them highlighted that container ships particular newer ones have secondary locations and power incase the primary goes offline.

This is to prevent incidents like this one. Especially if the ship gets damaged during transit eg storm etc

It would be entertaining if you'd live alone in a bunker. You live in a society where rules will be governed by those same low IQ people. It's scary times ahead hence my anxiety on the topic.

I can imagine that DOT didn't think the whole bridge would collapse like that, otherwise you would have to believe they would have closed the bridge to traffic within minutes while clearing the maintenance workers off of it.

This gives me pause for consideration of the river bridges I cross every week. There's a lot of barge traffic, and it's possibly amazing none of those ever strike the the bridges.

Fucking bananas! Also, I came here to Chill... shouldn't this be in World??

I think they did? If this is true:

All I know is this was Trumps fault and the James should take another 5 billion from him and the FBI should raid Mar A Lago.
