I do not want to. I really, really do not.Imagine if there's a Switch 2 and it doesn't have back compat. Just imagine.
I wouldn't even be remotely surprised if it didn't. Nintendo gonna Nintendo.Imagine if there's a Switch 2 and it doesn't have back compat. Just imagine.
Mario Kart 9 release date 2035 confirmed. If people keep buying 8, they will keep selling it. Its like GTA 5 but for Nintendo.Given the enormous success of the Switch, and evergreen nature of so many of their titles, I can't imagine they'd want to start over from scratch, or waste money porting games like MK8 when they likely don't need to spend any money porting it for it to keep selling.
I wouldn't worry about it. 0 chance.I do not want to. I really, really do not.
It's like 1 and a half gen difference. Switch is like a midway point between PS3 and 4, but the newer switch architecture helped.Nintendo is now 2 generations behind the competition. What a joke. Porting to Switch must be like porting 360 game to DS.
I wouldn't even be remotely surprised if it didn't. Nintendo gonna Nintendo.
To be fair though the Switch is in the latter half of its lifecycle while the XSX and PS5 are new tech. Porting would be difficult for demanding games, but at least it is running on a NVIDIA architecture now. Porting to whatever custom engine the DS used would not have been a fun experience.Nintendo is now 2 generations behind the competition. What a joke. Porting to Switch must be like porting 360 game to DS.
I would like to think a Xenoblade X Definitive Edition and a Xenoblade X-2 might be two of the mainline Switch 2 games, along with the heavily rumored/possibly even leaked next Fire Emblem and a new Etrian Odyssey supposedly in development?Based on MK and Splatoon DLC, its about 18 months away for the next Switch, which will launch with Mario Kart 4K and Splatoon GOTY 4K edition.
I think we get Zelda 2, maybe Odyssey 2, and Metroid which can carry the system for 18 months and then they launch basically a Steam Deck but almost 2 years from when it launched.
I was just wondering what you see in the Dragon Quest remakes, I've played the eshop version of 1, 2 and 3 and I don't really know what difference graphics would make. Is it something to do with the colour palette?I would like to think a Xenoblade X Definitive Edition and a Xenoblade X-2 might be two of the mainline Switch 2 games, along with the heavily rumored/possibly even leaked next Fire Emblem and a new Etrian Odyssey supposedly in development?
I've seen rumors of a possible Donkey Kong in the vein of Mario Odyssey, Kirby and the Forgotten Land? Also would be really nice to see GrimGrimoire Once More west release, and info on Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake and Dragon Quest XII. XII has shown even less then Breath of the Wild 2 if possible.
Then there's the inevitable Pokemon Black/White remakes/remasters oh god I can't wait to see how they fuck them up. /s
The 3 remake is using a Octopath/Triangle Strategy/Live-A Live graphical tier overhaul. I find every day that passes with zero info is extremely frustrating as there has been zero updates since 3 remake and 12s reveal a year ago.I was just wondering what you see in the Dragon Quest remakes, I've played the eshop version of 1, 2 and 3 and I don't really know what difference graphics would make. I'm afraid I'm going to have to disagree with this. I believe that lowered resolution and fps is how BotW originally released, and it looked better overall as a result. Now, the game has a much smoother frame rate with generally improved resolution, but you can't see enemies until it's too late whenever you're gliding around. Something always has to give, and in most cases they're going to simply draw fewer things in order to keep the rest of the package looking clean and smooth, but this doesn't preserve gameplay, as I noted. I hate not seeing opponents from far off...With good porting studios, the resolution doesn't need to be crippled to 480p or lower. There is a lot you can do to make a game run well with less power, but it seems the easier option is just to do a poor job and leave it at that. To be fair, sometimes even Nintendo games drop the ball as well, like their Super Mario 64 port in recent years.
I just hope it still supports MicroSD cards. I don't want to go the way of the Playstation and Xbox, buying proprietary SSD's that are way too expensive.I dont think it will be exactly a steam deck but comparable in power. Nintendo is never on the cutting edge. Whatever they release will already be out of date by launch.
So a 2021 power level system launching in 2024 makes sense.
Hopefully there is a SSD and not some crazy flash drive or something
There's no way they'll go with an SSD, either for internal or expansion.I just hope it still supports MicroSD cards. I don't want to go the way of the Playstation and Xbox, buying proprietary SSD's that are way too expensive.
