If society doesn't collapse things could get pretty grim.

If power is not consolidated, technology basically allows you to create people out of thin air and have absolute control over them, while giving you immortality. Within a simulation there is no rebellion, you can't even commit suicide unless allowed. And the powers of the one running the simulation are godlike unstoppable, no way to kill harm or do anything to the one running the simulation.

But if power is consolidated, you have the threat of instead of there being countless godlike dictatorships there being one grand godlike dictatorship ruling over all mankind.

Well now, this thread took a very serious turn.

Not really on the topic you're on but similar....

In the game Starfinder, it mentions how easy it is with the technology in the setting to change your gender. As in, extremely easy. So a guy who wants to become a woman or vice versa can do so in a matter of hours or even minutes. In fact there's a magic potion that pretty much allows you to change your gender permanently in the science fiction setting of Starfinder. They specifically even mentioned it's very easy to access and come across.

I guess this is no surprise considering it's Starfinder, which is the far future of Pathfinder. In other words, this is Paizo publishing and just like Wizards of the Coast, they are woke as all fuck.
