I don't get starfield. Some of it looks amazing, some of it looks rough as fuck

Looks neat, but I'm not really feeling it. Feels like a bit o a mish-mash of Mass Effect, No Man's Sky, and The Outer Worlds with a Fallout-style presentation. Seems somewhat lacking in its own identity, but I'll certainly check it out given that it's coming to Game Pass.

I just know that in true Bethesda fashion, none of these systems are going to have meaningful consequences, nor will the game be challenging enough to require your engaging with them.

I think the space theme will hook more than the post apocalyptic off fallout soni think I'll end up playing a lot of starfield.

It does indeed look like a Bethesda ass Bethesda game though so it might be a swing and a miss for me.

But there's a reason why people still play Skyrim to this day. People are gonna eat this up.

I liked Forza and that's about it. I assume P3P and P4G will be on PlayStation as well and I'll get them physically there.

As for Starfield, the scope is impressive and the graphics decent but the framerate is a disaster, it felt like barely 20fps during combat. Also it pissed me off that when they showed like 15 different characters from the character creation system, they made a point to make none of them white, that kind of virtue signaling is a sure fire way to make me lose interest.

So weak they're giving the PSP version. Hated controlling that stupid blue orb around

The decision to focus on the next 12 months felt a bit desperate more than strategic.

Still super strange just how little has come from Microsoft's acquisitions. Games take time but they have had time at this point.

Lots of good stuff coming I will check on GP though so they accomplished their goal.

I know I'm a fanboy but I'm hyped af
I'm hyped because I believe in the Bethesda magic but it's been a long time since they have delivered. I played the shit out of Skyrim and this looks promising. My biggest concern is that the scale will prevent It from being good. I'd rather have a single planet that was well designed. I am hopeful though.

Holy Shit. Despite having done the Hype Thread I was pretty sceptical about what Starfield was going to entail, but JFC even if it did look a little ropey in places (the blonde NPC looks terrible, but a lot of the others looked great) the sheer scope and scale of the thing is mind-bending tbh.

Hopefully, we will get an even longer look at it on the 14th, but I must admit I'm impressed.

Strong finish there Phil.

Not only am I excited for the base game, but for what the game will look like after a couple years in the modding communities hands. Over 1000 planets for them to fill and alter? Holy mamma Jamma. Rip Star Citizen. Even though you may be more of a sim, Starfield just stole your thunder in terms of the promise of exploring alien planets. And even with the ships, fully customizable... We're def gonna see some Millennium Falcons, Serenities, Elon's Starship, Arcadia, Star Trek ships Heck even Warhammer stuff.

Decent showcase. Starfield looks legit as fuck. All being "free" on Gamepass is bonkers.....except Diablo it looks like. Too many side shaved stronk women. White men DO still exist you fuckwits.
Have to imagine if the deal closes before d4 release it'll be on GP.

I want to make a Star Destroyer or something akin to it.

Don't Forget the Asari Tiddies mods Vlad

No game needs to be this big. It makes me worried.
I don't think they're all gonna be filled with significant content. Obviously, just like real space in a way. I think it's to try to simulate a chunk of space where you really do feel kind of lost unless you have direction. I'll bet there are gonna be clues that lead to the places with pertinent content, or you could just try your luck and explore. It reminds me of Elite dangerous in that way and I'll bet they were procedurally generated as well (Those planets on Elite are still fun to explore and look at though.). Either way, the modders will be able to fill all sorts of gaps where needed.

Wait. Where was perfect dark?

Not one single mention of a AAAA game that has had 2/3 years of dev time? In this part of the launch cycle, at this time of year, localised entirely around E3? May I see it?

I saw a lot of stuff reminding me of No Man's Sky, though being able to customize your character, design and build starships and a dedicated combat system and story trumps what No Man's Sky currently has right now.
