Thread: Xbox & Bethesda Showcase 2022 Livestream
Damn. perfect dark, fable, avowed TES 6, Hellblade 2 etc are all 2024 games? I was hoping 2023 for avowed.

Yeah, I was expecting Avowed and Hellblade 2 to make an appearance for sure. OK, I need to rewatch the Starfield Reveal a few more times before the PC Gaming Stream Starts. The thread for that will go live in 20 minutes.

Also was hoping to see The Last Night...maybe during the PC showcase...

A solid showing with a lot of interesting games and most coming to game pass. No Goldeneye was a huge bummer though considering all the achievement leaks it seemed like a sure thing it would be there. Maybe saved for a Nintendo Direct?

Couldn't watch it live but just finished it up now, skipped through a few parts. I've got to hand it to MS, they've really done a great job tightening up their conferences over the past couple years in terms of just showing games that you can play soon. Less talking and extended segments on games to kill time. They've also done a great job with the variety of games they are showing. 10-15 years ago every game was some grey muddy bro shooter with excessive amounts of gore. They've still got some of those games in there, but they've also got a lot of great looking titles that have a more kid friendly aesthetic.

I still won't be buying a next gen console for the foreseeable future, but if you've picked up a XsX/S, I'd imagine you'd be pretty happy with what is on the horizon.

Personally I miss the goofy E3 stuff. Microsoft also had too many games now. They breeze through them and I have can't tell what's what.

Sadly, it's been like that for almost every game for every conference so far. At least with games like RPG's that can be modded it can be "fixed". But it's been a crap timeline for story driven anything lately that doesn't seem forced.
Ya notices that with some other vids/clips I saw. It basically seems like 90% female leads.

Either female first person game with the hands/arms showing, or female 3rd person game with quick transitions of the character walking down hallway/road/forest.

Oh and don't forget female voice over to start the trailer....

I will give MS credit though they showed games and lots of stuff coming on GAMEPASS.

What a let down, I'm into some of the smaller games like Cocoon and Starfield has amazing environments and scale but the gameplay was wanktastic, the crafting is not interesting to me and the framerate was poo. I really thought we'd see something of Indy Jones and Wolfenstein 3, just something to get excited about, but just nothing at all.

Where the fuck was Hellblade 2? I want to see more of that, feels like its far off now and the video with the giant we saw recently was just a vertical slice that was made so they have something to appease "they have no gameplay" naysayers.

No Everwild, no Perfect Dark, no Avowed, would be good to see something so we even know what the genre is for the first two.
