It really makes you think, how nobody cares that it is produced by one of the most evil corporations on the planet. I guess people are willing to tolerate evil and other people's misery as long as they are entertained.

I care, I'm just tired of going on about it to people's ambivalence.

I find it odd that when EA and other big gaming corps did some annoying shit like bad ports, cookie-cutter games, shoddy releases etc. etc. people were up in arms, boycotting left and right constantly (at least pretending) and calling them "worst company in America". Now, you got Tencent, objectively EVIL as fuck company that does massive censorship in China, social credit system, being part of the CCP etc. etc. and there is very little talk about it. When companies get bought by Tencent it is literally "oh no...anyway" and you find no discussion on the topic, boycotts or anything.
Why was it that EA got so massively shit on but Tencent gets a pass constantly? It just aggravates me so much. Is it rampant hypocrisy or are people unaware of what Tencent is? I only found out about it a year or so ago myself.

C'mon now. You only found out a year ago, but you expect everyone else to already know all about them?

Tbh, the only things I know about Tencent is that they are China-based, are huge, make lots of acquisitions, apparently use my "info," and a lot of people don't like them for various reasons, political or other.

We've already done this song and dance bruh.

Riot is doing a lot of good for the gaming industry. Sucks Tencent owns them but if riot keeps doing what they are doing they will take over the world.

Also as others said, I am not aware of any personal atrocities that Tencent themselves have done.

Yes, we have and I don't expect you to change your opinion on the matter. Like I said, all I was wondering why EA got blasted constantly but are almost completely silent about Tencent. They do work for the CCP and have helped to build their surveillance and censorship infrastructure, not to mention they funnel money back to the state to be used on their other activities.
