Ok played for a few mins and it sucks.

First of all NO STRONG GRAPPLE ?!?!?!?. I was expecting DOR/No mercy and nope it's like it's gay brother or something.

Graphics suck ass.
Content sucks ass.
Entrances are horrible and they turned the volume down to negative 1 and they last 3 seconds.
Gameplay is just boring.
I have played 2k23 and it blows AEW out of the water
It's like a ps5 game vs an atari 2600 game.
Maybe I need to play more to enjoy it buy first impressions not good at all especially when comparing it to it's competitor. And no not 2k24 I am talking last years WWE game that came out around the same time.
I can see why they lost money on it but I can't see why they spend 75 million developing the game. That has to be about as real as 93K in the Silverdome brother
If you told me it was a mobile game by tencent I would believe you.

To me what's more crazy is they are still working on the game last time I checked? Needs an overhaul but at this point just do a 1.5 sequel and fix it.

Q Why is it called TEW IX and not TEW2024?

A We've decided to make this change to the naming scheme because having a year in the title is generally used to denote an annual release. As there are several years between modern TEW releases, we felt a switch to numbers would be more appropriate going forward.

Q What will the licensing situation be?

A The game will be under the QLM license system that Grey Dog Software has been using for the past couple of years. As those who have used it will know, this is a much easier to use and more convenient system than the old Elicense system that was used in the past.

Q Will I be able to continue my TEW2020 save games?

A No, as they are two separate products. As usual, a converter is provided so that TEW2020 databases can be converted to work with TEW IX.

Q What new features and changes will there be?

A The Developer's Journal starts today and will be used to reveal new features and changes. There will be at least one entry every weekday between now and the game's release. As usual, a lot of the changes come directly from posts that people have made in the Suggestions forum over the past four years.

Q Is this an entirely new game?

A TEW IX uses the same base as TEW2020, so you'll recognise the general layout and concepts - this is because there's no sense in "reinventing the wheel" when we already have a very popular, stable basis to work off. The new features and changes are applied on top of that foundation to enhance and expand the game.

Q Will there be a Mac version?

A No. Grey Dog Software only produces Windows-based games.

Q Will I meet the minimum requirements?

A Although TEW IX is significantly bigger than TEW2020, if your computer is able to play the latter, you will definitely be able to play the new game too.

Q What times will the release be?

A To avoid a large spike in traffic and the problems that causes, we will not be announcing an exact time for release. It will, however, be handled by Grey Dog Software and so be on US time.

I have TEW 2020. It's not bad. It's the wrestling booking version of Football Manager. This one looks like it will have a lot of good additions.

I think they shit the bed. AEW itself has cooled down and fight forever sucked there is no way they can make money on a sequel. And the last think TK needs is to lose a shit ton of money on another videogame. Especially since 2K is hitting its stride and the games are really good. There would be no reason to buy an AEW game.
I think they will release a mobile game to try and make some quick cash. I just don't see a console game having any chance to make money.
From what I saw they released some new character but also some new maps but they are dumb things like a beach or Japanese temple.
Wrestling fans don't want that BS they want authentic real life arenas. The game also comes with some pre made CAWs. Again people don't want that BS fake made up characters they want real wrestlers.
It feels like Omega wanted to make an authentic game and then some execs was like we need to appeal to Wii and Mario Party gamers so let's throw in mini games instead of match types and game modes.

I have combined all my previous fire Pro videos along with some extra bits of information, commercials and even an update on future fire Pro video games. I have even included a 1994 Japanese Hulk Hogan here condition your commercial just because it's so goofy.

Eventually somebody is going to make a non-brand wrestling game not like Fire Pro which tries to replicate other real wrestlers but just makes a fun wrestling game that doesn't need a billion dollar license, just a fun game that does all the moves with a revolving RPG-like storyline that should be infinite with RNG wrestlers.

Here we are 2025. Since 2015 wrestling games have declined consistently for 20 years to being something only inclusive for folks of exclusively licensed wrestlers.

IMO if they just did Muscle Men with all the appropriate moves they could bridge a game to make something fantasy remain fantasy and check all boxes.....I'm a dreamer
