Thread: Which one console exclusive IP would you want to be playable on your favorite console?

  3. Nintendo
My favorite consoles tend to be Nintendo most generations, and currently my favorite is the Nintendo Switch. One IP I'd like to see available for the Switch that currently isn't available to play, is probably Psychonauts. That or Halo, it would be tough to choose

Even though Halo is kind of butchered imo thanks to 343i, the games would still be worth a go every now and then on the go. I think it would be a lot of fun just to create maps again for various multiplayer game types and to be able to do it on the go or on handheld on the Switch. What would you choose to be able to play on your personal favorite console or PC, if you are strictly about PC gaming?

I would also like Halo to come to the Switch. The original Halo trilogy and Halo Wars ran on the 360 and should be able to run on the Switch just fine.

None because too many big IPs have already lost their exclusivity or been watered down.

Personally, I think this question is more interesting if flipped around: which IP would you want moved exclusively to another platform and why?

The mainline Final Fantasy series completely lost its charm for me after IX, maybe forcing SE to design those games within more restrictive hardware constraints would do them (and a lot of other devs) some good so I'd like to see those games exclusive to Nintendo platforms again.

That's a good question. I would select Halo, moved exclusively to the Nintendo Switch. The graphics would of course be reduced, but Nintendo would not squander the rights nor the quality like Microsoft and 343i have been doing since the early 2010s. It would be the opposite, they would revive it, put a spin on some of the gameplay probably, and the stories and multiplayer would likely thrive under their developers (whoever it would be that they would choose to assign to develop the games)

Eternal Darkness moving to anywhere else. Despite the original developers being long gone, Nintendo seems determined to do nothing with it even though it's one of the most underrated survival horror games. Reviving it in the same vein as Resident Evil 2 or Silent Hill 2's remakes on hardware that lets devs make it look beautiful is one of my biggest gaming dreams.

I was a Playstation guy for a long time before getting sick of how Sony does things. I'm a full on Switch guy now, even though I have issues with Nintendo as well to be fair. My modded oled Switch brings me much joy in life though, and there absolutely are some old Playstation favorites that I would REALLY like to see on the Switch, as well as a few Xbox gems that I'd like to see migrate over to Nintendo like some others already have (i.e. Pentiment). So here's my list:

Odinsphere Leifthrasir - I don't see why this and Dragon's Crown aren't on the Switch, and I don't even like Dragon's Crown.
Deception IV: Nightmare Princess - These games were perfect on Vita and would be even better on Switch
Rare Replay Collection - All of these games should be on Switch, especially Viva Pinata and Conker's Bad Fur Day
Eternal Darkness
Dino Criss/Dino Crisis 2 Remastered - Don't remake them, I want them just the way they were with some updated graphics and quality of life improvements.
Puppeteer
The Dishwasher Vampire Smile - I want a physical release of this for my Switch, but I'll settle for digital only
The Sly Cooper Series
The Ratchet and Clank games
Peter Jackson's King Kong
The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King
Final Fantasy XIII, XIII-2, and Lightning Returns
A King's Tale: Final Fantasy XV

Astrobot on PC (including the VR game). Or Switch. I didn't get the question lol

I completely forgot FFXVI even came out on PC lol. How the mighty have fallen! Square seems to be doing interesting things with Mana, Saga, and Octpath, but FF has just become AAA slop.
