So many great games available at the moment.

I'm a NRS guy so Mortal Kombat 11 and Injustice 2 were/are my mains.

I've just downloaded the ultimate edition of Tekken 7 as well. Briefly played Blazblue and had a good time with it.

I REALLY want a good Marvel fighting game next 😍💪

Historically, I've been a Street Fighter guy with Ultra 4 being my favourite. Wasn't a fan of the direction Capcom took 5. It's still a really good game but not for me.

Yeah I've been looking at Guilty Gear quite alot with it been the most recent. Looks really fun, seems strange having only 15 characters with roster sizes these days, although I have heard they are each very unique.

The characters are all completely unique and all play wildly different from one another. Some really nutty ones in there too, like Faust and Zato. You can get it for less than half price on CD Keys which is a bargain.

Soul Caliber. Or more specifically SC & SC2. After that they kept adding stuff and it never seemed to make the experience better. I liked the simple Rock/Paper/Scissor on the weapons, X/Y axis attacks and REAL 3D movement so side stepping was a thing.

I play other series like Tekken, DOA, MK & SF.... but never are they as satisfying.

Haven't played too many in recent years, but Soul Calibur, Tekken 3, Tekken Tag Tournament, Street Fighter Alpha 2 & 3, all the Marvel/Capcom games were my favorites.

Just playing now on PC and it feels darker than the PS4/5 version on the same calibrated screen. Almost like black crush.

Same feeling in SDR as well. Strange.

Isn't there a new one coming out soon? I've seen a dinosaur man doing the rounds on YouTube 😛. Might have to give the series a go sometime.

Yeah the praise he gives it definitely makes me want to play it more. I would go back to it but I figure the community is full of diehard fans that would shit on me.

Yeah to be honest most games I just play casually or when friends come round. It's only really Mortal Kombat and Injustice I'm good at.

Tempted to get good at Tekken 7 and show @teezzy who's number 1 however 😉

Now you're speaking my language. A friend invited me over one night for vidya games. He broke out Soul Calibur on his new Dreamcast, and I was in absolute awe the whole night. We played something like 15 hours straight.

Now that you mentioned Soul Calibur, my friend obliterated me in that when I had my Dreamcast at his place the other week :ROFLMAO: However, I obliterated him in Unreal Tournament and MvC2 :p

I'm a recent DC owner, got my modded Dreamcast from eBay like 3 weeks ago. I believe it's the first Unreal Tournament. The auto aim is so ridiculously accurate that it doesn't even matter how strange the controls are, you just chase and shoot away and up the kill score goes! And don't even get me started on that rocket launcher...the most OP one I've ever used in like any vidiya gaem ever XD

Street Fighter V had THE most terrible launch of a fighting game ever.

No arcade mode, no story mode, couldn't fight CPU in versus mode (only mode you could fight the CPU was the botched survival mode), very limited characters and stages with any new characters and stages locked behind paid dlc (unless you wanna grind for weeks for one character), 8 frame input lag, terrible art direction, complete lack of singleplayer content, so on.

It's better now, but people are right to have been put off by that launch.

I wonder if we'll ever get a NRS Marvel game or another Marvel vs Capcom with a budget behind it.

That's all I really want a great Marvel fighting game. I know it will never happen but imagine they could use the MCU actors faces!

I think on the whole Injustice 2 is my greatest fighting game of all time. It just clicked more than MK11. I think it felt less grindy and the wokeness was only slightly starting to creep in.
