Thanks for the welcome. I'm Zero.

I'm a big fan of the Mega Man X series obviously. I've been a gamer for most of my life and have enjoyed seeing the growth of the industry over the years, though not every change it has gone through has been a good one (particularly in recent years).

I'm also a big pro wrestling fan, and that means ALL pro wrestling (not just WWE). I'm a casual fan of heavy metal. Recently I've been developing an interest in the sillier side of the genre like Alestorm and Nanowar of Steel. I get very nostalgic about the 80s and 90s and could probably watch the 86 Transformers movie a billion times. I like most geeky hobbies to varying degrees (comic books, anime, science fiction, action figures, collectible card games, etc.). Gaming and pro wrestling tend to be my main forms of entertainment though. I was gonna type up a bunch of stuff about my favorite games, bands, movies, etc., but I'm sure there are other threads where I can post that stuff.

From what I've seen, this forum has a different vibe from a lot of other places which I find very appealing. I'm mainly here to have fun and not create drama, there's plenty of that on the internet already.

Which Mega Man Battle Network was the best?

And why was it the very first one?

Hey and welcome.

I don't know anything about metal but I like Alestorm. For whatever reason the song "Fuck you with an anchor" popped up in Spotify and I gave it a listen. Then I saw the album cover and I loved them. They are all pirate inspired and so are their songs. Since then I always give them a listen here and there and when a new album drops. Actually I wanted to order a shirt lol.

They even released an 8bit version of one of their albums. It's quite nice too :)

Who's your favorite wrestler and what's your favorite anime?

LOL

I really need to play those. My Mega Man experience basically consists of most of the classic series, all of the Mega Man X series (except Command Mission), and this thing LOL

Yeah, I've only recently discovered Alestorm but already love many of their songs. This one has been in my head a lot lately:

The dog songs are hilarious too. Have you watched their videos with captions turned on? Some of the stuff you'll see is pretty funny.

Favorite anime? I used to watch more anime years ago then I do now. I love Cowboy Bebop a lot. Recently, I've kind of gotten into Demon Slayer (the Mugen Train movie was epic) and I enjoyed the first season of One Punch Man. I'm a little behind on both shows and need to catch up. The last episode I saw of Demon Slayer was the end of season 2.

Favorite Wrestler? That's a tough one. Currently, I really like Orange Cassidy, Hangman Adam Paige, and all of the members of the Elite. Over in WWE, I really like Gunther, Chad Gable, and Otis at the moment. AJ Styles is pretty awesome too. I watched some of his work in NJPW and ROH and became a fan. There's just something really cool about that guy. I'm a Speedball Mike Bailey fan too. I like Hiroshi Tanahashi in NJPW. I also love the Yoshihiko gimmick from DDT. The "Battle Doll" LOL. There's a lot of other wrestlers I like too, it's hard to pick a favorite. Some of my all time favorites are HBK, Jericho, and Macho Man Randy Savage. As far as women go, I'm really into the Cosmic Angels in Stardom and I really liked the Gail Kim and Awesome Kong feud very early in TNA's history. I'm a Maki Itoh fan too.

Tbh I never watched a video of them. lol and I don't know why I never thought about it as I give them a listen from time to time. Even wanted to buy a shirt because I love the pirate metal theme.

some great one. People say the second season of one punch man isn't that good. I enjoyed it though.
The Mugen train was awesome. The whole season was great. IMO the best one. It continues in the town and it's brutal. You should keep watching if you haven't.

@wrestling. There's a wrestling thread here. Maybe you should check it.

Do you mean the Entertainment District part of Demon Slayer with Tengen Uzui? I watched that arc up to the end of it and it was amazing. I haven't seen anything beyond that though. I'm blown away by how EPIC Demon Slayer can get and the AMAZING animation. I do plan on seeing season 2 of One-Punch Man at some point, I want to give it a chance. Maybe I'll like it too. I'm open to any modern anime suggestions. I would like to watch more if I can find the time. I heard My Hero Academia is pretty good.

Yeah, I've made a few posts in the wrestling thread already. I just couldn't wait to dive into things on this forum LOL. It's pretty cool.

You know, I've thought about getting an Alestorm shirt too at some point.

Hi, welcome to the board!

Something no one here knows about me is that I have another alias I sometimes use, especially in chat rooms and such... I like to go by X. Or AgentX.

The Mega Man X series is one of my all-time favorites.

I hope you enjoy the board. I would describe this place as relaxed. We're a pretty even distribution of right-leaning conservatives and former democrats. 😆

Yeah, that's pretty cool. I don't really talk about my politics much, but I like that this site allows everyone to be themselves and believe whatever they want to believe. Nice chill atmosphere.

Welcome to D-Pad @Sigmasuccour
Hello hello. 🌟
Thank you for the welcome, and allowing me in.

So, introductions...
I mostly grew up playing fighting, versus and co-op games with family and friends.
  1. King of fighters,
  2. Tekken,
  3. (Anime games) Dragon Ball, Naruto, Melty Blood
  4. Def Jam,
  5. Wrestling,
  6. Fifa/PES,
  7. double dragon,
  8. Snow Bros,
  9. A LOOOT of Bomberman,
  10. (e.t.c.)
It's when I grew up quite a bit, and owned a PSP. That I started playing more single player games and JRPGs. Like:
  1. Fate/Extra,
  2. Trails in the Sky,
  3. Persona 2 & 3,
  4. God Eater,
  5. Black Rock Shooter,
  6. Corpse Party,
  7. Final Fantasy (Crisis Core, Dissidia Duodecim, Type 0)
  8. Parasite Eve The 3rd Birthday,
  9. Blazblue Series,
  10. Disagaea 2,
  11. (e.t.c.)

Then as I started gaming on the PC, it was lots of indie games and RPG Maker games. (That I can picture, but can't exactly name. XD It was all just- very random.)

And now I mostly make games, myself.

D-Pad is not fixable bro. That ship sailed a long time ago

Into fight but not street fighter / mortal kombat / Killer instinct?

Welcome to d-Pad

Favourite fighter for me is still Battle Arena Toshinden 2 so.
I loved Battle Arena Toshinden too. Played it back then but can't remember if it was 1 or 2. I loved Duke (was that his name) and a guy in a knights armor with a gigantic twohander. Didn't this series became soul calibur later on?

No it ended after the chibi game. I would say that Soul Edge was inspired with the weapons though.

Street Fighter: I recall playing it on Sega, and a lot at arcades. (For some reason, never got street fighter on any other consoles.)
Mortal Kombat: Barely ever played that.
Killer Instinct: Nope, never.

I also recall playing and enjoying a lot of Bloody Roar, and Burnout!

Thank you thank you!

I loved that you could unlock a dude who just shoots everyone with guns in Toshinden 2:LOL:

Conservative detected

I do mostly lean in that direction, but there are some things about conservatives that annoy me. So I don't really know what box I fit in these days. I just want to see things get better in this country, and the current person in the White House isn't interested in that in my humble opinion.

Anyway, I would also like to extend a welcome to the new blood.

Thank You!
